DISCOUNT TIRE

They have very good service.  They would stand behind their product and I would use them actually.  It was very good.

Had to order tires as not in stock. Arrived a few days later and work performed quickly. I later had a flat (ran over a nail) and they quickly repaired. Excellent service! Will continue to recommend this Renton location.

It went well although one of the tires, which are "directional" and designed to go on the car with a specific side facing out, was initially mounted the opposite (= wrong) way so the sidewall of the tire which I could see read "this side faces in" or something similar. I noticed this before I drove off and they fixed it right away. But, I noticed it and the guy who put the tire on did not.

I have dealt with Discount Tire for years. I am an avid Costco and Sams Club shopper always seeking the best value for my hard earned money. What I like so dearly about this company is that they offer a real warranty certificate. This means that if tire is flat it will be replaced or repaired as long as it is damaged from a covered reason. This also includes lifetime balance and rotation. The competetors offer similar programs, but they will prorate, meaning that if the tire is 50% worn when damaged, they will give 50% discount-BIG differance!

The overall experience was satisfactory, but I would recommend them with a little reservation. I received a quote from the NE 4th Renton store that I'd been to before, but decided to try this new store a bit closer to home. I had expected the price to be the same, but the extra fees ended up being a little higher at the new (Grady Way) store. Also, when my husband returned home, we realized we'd been charged $9.50 extra per tire for an extra warranty, which he didn't recall approving. But since the whole process was extremely quick (my husband was in/out within 15 minutes), the salesperson may have explained it, but my husband missed it. I telephoned the store, and they refunded our credit card for the warranty charges. If you use this company, don't be rushed and be sure you clearly understand the charges. Other than that, the quality of the job seems fine.
