The first visit, the technician diagnosed the problem, but was not carrying any replacement parts so he had to schedule a second visit.
The second visit, he brought the part, changed it, claimed it was working when he left, but it was still broken when we got home an hour later.
The third visit, a different technician diagnosed a different problem but, surprise surprise, he was not carrying any replacement parts so he had to schedule a fourth visit.
The fourth visit, the original technician came back, brought the new part, changed it, but the new part also did not work so he diagnosed a new problem and scheduled another visit.
The fifth visit, they sent yet another technician, who came to the house while we were away, didn't do any work, and left a note saying that he could not access the spa equipment - clearly wrong since two technicians before him had no problem accessing the spa equipment. Plus he left without having the decency to call and ask,
Every time someone comes, whether they do any actual work or not (and they frequently don't because they don't bring spare parts), they put another $80 on our bill for every half hour they spend here. We haven't paid our bill yet because the service is in progress, but at this point we must be easily past $500 and that excludes any parts changed.
Every time they need to reschedule a new visit, you have to wait at least a week for a technician to come, sometimes longer. At this point we've been in repairs for over one and a half months.
"Sorry we did not respond sooner. We are new to Angies List. From what we can find on this situation is that we were called out to do what is called a "Drain, clean and fill". Upon going out to the house, water mold was discovered in the pipes of the tub. This mold is found in the piped of hot tubs some times when using the disinfectant used by this customer. This mold builds up over time and can cause problems. All disinfectants have a tendency to have side effects after a long time of use and this is one of them. The only way to clear this up is to run a product through the pipes that removes the mold and this also requires the filter to be left out while the product is working. This was done on the first visit. The 2nd visit was to complete the work that was requested for the "drain, clean and fill". This was not new work but completion of the original request. Normal "drain, clean, fills" are done in one visit. Because of the water mold, it required 2 trips. The customer then requested us to come out and teach him how to run his hot tub so the mold would not come back. We do this type of training free in any of our stores. We do charge for our technicians out at the job site. Most of the time, customers are more than happy to come into the stores to receive this training for free. As for returning call's, we do have records of 2 voice mails that we left for this customer requesting return calls. We are very proud of our cleaners and the work that they do. We always try to do what is best for the customer in the most economical manner. We do free water testing in all of our stores to help customers maintain their hot tubs and to help reduce the chances of problems."
