There is not enough room for the entire story start to finish as this was a nearly two year project. Suffice it to say that Al was a pleasure to work with. He helped me cut costs by teaching me a thing or two about demolition, insulation and painting so that I could do as much as I could myself. His estimate was the cost, the price never grew unless I specifically asked for something extra. When I did, I always knew what I was in for financially. As I have a very old house with not much in the way of 90 degree angles or things that were plumb, it took many creative solutions to bring the house up to date. Al was particularly good at this. I have a sewage pipe for a laundry chute for crying out loud! My only criticism is that the time line extended several months per floor. I'm sure that this is because Al's operation consists of him and his little dog Petey and that's it. He of coarse brings in people when he needs them, like a plumber and an electrician, but mostly it's just him.
