Idacity to come looking for her and try to enter the bedroom. Can I send pictures to underscore what a ridiculously poor job was performed? The mess and the way in which the job was left is extraordinary bad, by any standards. I couldn't be there to oversee and critique, or I never would have paid him. My wife, who was home, was so creeped out by the guy she hid upstairs behind our locked bedroom door. He even had the audacity to come upstairs and try to find my wife, though he had both our phone numbers. When I spoke with him on the phone he was so inarticulate it was virtually impossible to communicate. Nonetheless, the pictures I took say it all. He left snipped wires on our counter, a mess of electrical wire caps, the old switch and a pile of debris. The switches were left uncovered, and as well, the right switch was installed crooked so I will have ti reinstall myself. This was a very simple job, but I have and had no time to do it. My main electrician for my business is out of town, or I would have used him. It would have been half the price, zero mess and installed straight and true; complete. I have had success with Angie's List, but the sour taste left by this one incident leaves me researching some of the competitors that pop up when I use the search engine to log in. (HomeAdvisor, etc.) Please let me know how I may display pictures of what I received for $300 and I'm sure all will agree on the workmanship, or lack of, alone regardless of the lack of professionalism on the service man's part. I may add, this was the first time I used the "SnapFix" option on Angie's List, which may have made a difference, I don't know.
Description of Work: Installed a light switch poorly and left a mess. I will have to repair what he failed to do.
