WARNING OF PREDATORY PRACTICES – DO NOT USE SERVPRO *** If you think the water and/or fire damage you’ve experienced is traumatic, just wait until you’ve experienced working with ServPro. The predatory practices employed by this company cannot be understated. Not only did they submit an invoice to us for $45,000 for water remediation, but their harassment including repeated threats of putting a lien on our house.*** The long and the short of it is: • When you’re in distress, you’ll “sign” anything -- predators will take advantage of this • When predators think they can do whatever they want and someone will ultimately pay for it, they will do so • They will attempt to bring in more machines and do more demolition than is necessary (under the guise of “preventative measures”, that means more $$$ to them – they will rack up as many charges as they think they can get away with • They will charge you for service they did not perform • When they play chicken with the insurance company on invoicing *you*will be the one caught in the middle • They will threaten you with liens, lawsuits and whatever they deem effective instead of working with insurance on a resolution • Instead of feeling taken care of, you will be left taken advantage of with PTSD about the potential for something similar happening in the future

Water remediation

Quick response, courteous staff, good explanation of the work that will be performed, daily check-ins. Felt very well cared for. On the other hand, super expensive for the work performed (placing air blowers and de-humidifiers) to dry up the water. Did not inform on cost estimate till we got the final bill! Recommended if you are in a bind and need expertise quickly and don't mind the surprise of a super expensive bill.

The drying services went well. However, after ServPro completed the drying, they stopped communicating with me about reconstruction services (i.e., putting my house back together "like the damage never happened"). I had to email and call repeatedly before they finally told me their reconstruction side would not be able to get to my project for a long time, and that I would be better off getting another contractor to complete it. I wasted a month expecting they would do they would do the work (as they had promised). My assessment is that ServPro does well with damage mitigation (drying the house out) but does not have the resources to handle reconstruction. They should not market those services or promise they will be performed.

They were prompt, efficient and pleasant to work with.
Not the cheapest, but they got the job done on time and as promised, and were very helpful with ideas on ways to save money and do it right.

They were good. They went out of their way to explain what they were doing and how and why. They were very thorough, knowledgeable and answered all my questions.

They were punctual, thorough and honest. You can get a hold of them anytime. They made sure that everything was done right.

Overall, I am very happy with the work that was done.
