Sears Service Center

Thought there was mold in inner rubber ring in front loading Kenmore washer. Just stained, but service rep cleaned washer, explained, and also took a look at dryer vent. Seems all in good order, so paid for service call to the house and the servicing, reasonable. No repairs needed, feeling better about the state of our ten-year old machines.

He was here 2 min and said it was done but I still paid over $100 for that and to vacuum out the dryer. I didn't know they don't clean behind, only pull off the front which cost me $40. I will do it myself from now on. I had to buy a new washer. The new washer experience was even worse. It was a frustrating and expensive.

Tech arrived 30 minutes after scheduling online. He quickly diagnosed the problem, and made the repair. No parts were needed. Overall, a great experience.

I called Sears, they set up an appointment for two days later, and they arrived right on time. The repairman, Isaac, patiently explained to me what was happening and why it would be cheaper to buy a new one rather than fix the old one. Not happy about having to buy a new appliance, but as far as Sears was concerned, my technician did a great job!

The provider scheduled me between 8am and 5pm.
At 5pm nobody had called or showed up. I called then and they said the technician will call me shortly with an approximate time. Nobody called.
At 6:30pm I called again, and got the same answer. Again, nobody called.
Very unreliable and unprofessional

Very well. After calling ahead of arrival, then arriving on schedule, the technician was very professional and knowledgable. He told me exactly what he was doing, and even told me why I should repair my dryer instead of buying new! If I ever need another repair, I would hope the same repairman would be dispatched.

The first tech ordered the new parts and made an appointment for 10 days later. Parts arrived at my home prior to the new appointment date. Another tech came and installed the new parts, but determined that one of the two parts did not fit and that it had been incorrectly ordered (wrong part number). He ordered what I hope is the correct part. Have another appointment and am awaiting the new part and its installation.
Both techs were punctual, efficient, and very nice.

Overall it was okay. They were very efficient once they got here. It was a warranty service, so I didn't have to pay anything. It was difficult to schedule an appointment with them. They came at the very outside limit of what I would call an acceptable window on appointment. I would use their services again in the future.
