I needed to replace my air conditioner, and after getting three bids from reputable HVAC dealers, I chose Pearce Heating and A/C, Inc. I went by the guidelines offered by HVAC.com in what to look for in hiring the best HVAC company/technician because if they don't do the installation correctly, the equipment won't perform as expected. The owner, Brian Pearce, was so much more knowledgeable and thorough than the other salesmen. Unlike the others (one who gave me a bid after spending 15 minutes looking at my current equipment), Brian spent at least an hour explaining everything to my satisfaction. I knew this was the company I wanted to hire for all my HVAC needs from here on out. I decided to replace both my 18-year-old furnace and air conditioner at the same time. The lead installer Mike Anderson along with his tech Sebastian did an amazing job. Brian also explained how I could safely get more hot water from my water heater by installing mixing valves. After 22 years of filling my large tub in shifts waiting for more hot water, I can now fill it once and done. I am very satisfied with the work done by this company, and I highly recommend them for their honesty, quality of workmanship, and professionalism. Brian Pearce and his team are the BEST!

Clair was fan-freakin-tastic!! He came out to give our A/C and furnace (HVAC) it's regular tune up today. He was incredibly knowledgeable about our ancient furnace and A/C units. He didn't try to sell us anything we didn't need and gave us honest feedback about the longevity of some of system and its parts. He worked quickly, had a mask on for COVID protection and explained his findings in a way I could easily understand. It seems like he's been doing this for roughly 1 million years. I can't say enough great things about him and about Pearce in general!

The company rearranged their schedule of other jobs to ensure the furnace replacement occurred withing 3 days of an inspection identifying a bad heat exchanger in the old furnace. The job was professionally performed and the team doing the work was friendly.

I wrote my first review of Pearce Heating & Air Conditioning in March 2013 after their superb work with converting an electric to gas water heater. Naturally, I went back to Brian Pearce when we decided to install central air conditioning, but this time, I saw the multiple top-rated reviews over the past five years that confirmed my 2013 assessment. While a substantial expansion of Brian’s team has taken place, I can firmly say that they have maintained the same dedication and integrity. I appreciated once again a clear estimate and identification of issues that would affect the cooling of our two-story house. Clair noted that the lack of any air intake on the upper floor would affect the cooling on that level, but we all agreed to go ahead with the installation and hold off on additional ductwork. I appreciated this candidness at the start rather than after the unit is installed. I could not be happier with the quality of the installation completed by Brian’s team. Their work was beautifully completed. My wife and I noted how well the team worked together and meticulously carried out their work. I appreciated the attention they took to carefully locating, sizing, and molding individual sections and equipment. The placement of the outdoor compressor unit was so masterfully placed and prepared. All the pipes and wiring are neatly arranged as though this was always a part of the house. When they finished, they left the areas cleaner than before they arrived. Just as Brian had so correctly advised about the hot water unit that he installed in 2013, he recommended this air conditioning unit as being more reliable with less-costly replacement parts. I also know that the quality of the installation work is more important than the selection of the unit. I can gladly say that I am a happy repeat customer for Pearce Heating & Air Conditioning. This group really stands behind their work.

Wow. This is one of the best contracting experiences we've ever had. Brian came out to assess our request for replacements and ac install, triggered by our noticing a crack in a furnace pipe. During his initial visit, he patched the crack for free and followed up with a quote for various options which were explained in detail. We also asked about a 25 year mystery of why one of our upstairs rooms never seemed to get any airflow. The quote was very reasonable and doing all the work at once was less expensive and more efficient. He also agreed to try to figure out the problem with the mystery vent. Fortunately, their schedule had a quick opening, as the season gets insanely busy for them, so within a week of the initial quote, Mike and Tim arrived for 3 days of great work. They were helpful in explaining the process, timely, efficient, unbelievably good at cleanup, and did an absolutely terrific job. Even the city inspector said they did great work...like when does THAT every happen! Above and beyond all else, they got in our crawl space and did not give up until they found that the builder of our home had never hooked up one of the duct runs to the second floor--it was hidden in some insulation--and they repaired this at no charge. We are grateful beyond words to have all new systems better than before, and air conditioning as we head into the summers we have begun to dread. What a terrific local business--Brian, Mike, Tim, Allison in the office, thank you for a really wonderful job!

I highly recommend Pearce Heating & A/C. They replaced our old furnace with a new modulating one and installed an air conditioner for us. It is not a big company—it is just Brian and his team. Brian understands the HVAC as a whole-house system, while the bigger contractors I talked with failed to address the “ventilation” part of HVAC for our “old” house built 20 years ago. After getting unsatisfying bids from four contractors, I finally remembered the work Brian did for us many years ago—he upgraded the duct system in the house to improve the comfort and air quality in the house. It has been working so well that I rarely have given any thought to it. For the recent HVAC upgrade, Brian presented a proposal that made sense to me including minor modifications to the ventilation system to further address my IAQ needs, which other contractors were not able to at all. The installation work was great, everything looks beautiful, and the system is working very well.

The motor on our old furnace burned out on a Saturday morning in December. Pearce was very responsive and came out within a couple hours of our call. We had a bid in hand that night, and the crew showed up first thing Monday morning to install the new furnace. The workers were very professional and courteous. They took care of everything, including cleanup of the garage area where the furnace is located, and all the ducts in the house, which they tested to be sure the new furnace was working properly. They also got the required city permit for the new furnace, and will facilitate the required city inspection too. Pearce is a family-owned company focusing on the Eastside. Would definitely hire them again!

I had two other places that came out and said, "Oh yeah, there's nothing we can do. You just have to get a new furnace," and we had no money for a new furnace. They came out and looked it over and realized it was just a problem with a board and directed me to the right board. They got me up and running. That all happened during the record cold that we had going on in the Seattle area. They were wonderful. They were heroic. I don't believe they charged anything for that because they did not have a source for the board but they directed me on what I needed and I was able to get it up and running myself for $50. What they had quoted me was very reasonable. If they had to redo other work or if they had to replace it, it was all very competitive with other things I had heard. If I was them, they gave me the word that I would like somebody to give me. We didn't actually do any specific work, but their consultation work was spot on. All 3 times they swung by and checked thing out for us, they were on time. Honest. Compassionate. Personable.

I couldn't be more pleased. Clair was able to come out about two hours after I called, and after troubleshooting and fixing the furnace, he made sure to test it repeatedly from the thermostat as well as at the unit to make sure it was functioning properly. He talked me through what he was doing and seeing and gave me some helpful suggestions should I have furnace issues in the future. I would hire again and definitely recommend!

The owner who's name I believe is Rob came out to check on our furnace as a second opinion. He came out took a look and did not charge us. We scheduled the recommended repair. The price was comparable to the first Company.
The repairman was punctual and fixed the issue. He did leave a bit of a mess with wrappers from parts other than perfect.

Our furnace went out yesterday morning. I contacted Pearce Heating, spoke to Brian; he was able to come out and give us an estimate right away. He was very courteous, professional, and informative. He told us if we let him know by the end of the day, he can have it installed for us the next day. I called him after 6 p.m., to let him know we've decided to have him replace it. He explained the warehouse was closed, but he'll call them first thing in the morning and make sure they have the model we selected and let me know. True to his word, he called me at 7:15, gave me the good news, he and his two technicians will come by at 8:30 to put in our new furnace. They were on time, walked us through the process, explained everything, and got started. They were very professional, courteous, knowledgeable, clean and did an excellent job! Thank you Pearce Heating for your prompt response, excellent work, and making our house warm. I am a customer for life.

I purchased my gas furnace from Pearce Heating several years ago, I'm also on their yearly maintenance schedule. They call/email me in September or October to schedule an appointment; the service includes preventative maintenance and a new filter. I'm also informed of any parts that may need to be replaced in the coming year.
I've been very pleased with their prompt and professional service. I really appreciate no hidden costs! I referred my neighbor to Pearce, she's also very happy with their service.

We called Brian Pearce to help us install A/C for our current home. We have always had good experiences working with him in the past, so we knew he would do a great job for us once again when we decided to add A/C to our house. He's a nice guy, returns phone calls, and is puntual with appointments. He follows through with what he says, and the price has always been reasonable.
We already have a gas furnice with forced air, and had recently obtained a gently used air conditioning unit that would work well for the size of our home. My husband poured a cement slab for the unit to sit on after consulting with Brian and had it in place when Brian arrived to hook it all up for us. He did a basic service/cleaning on the furnace, and by the afternoon I had nice cool air cooling down my 2-story house a month before the summer higher temps would arrive. He also upgraded the furnace filter to a more efficent filter that we replace much less often then before.
Overall, we are very satisfied with start to finish in working with Brian Pearce, and will definitely use Pearce Heating this summer for any HVAC needs we have for our kitchen remodel project.
