Being new to the area, we were not familiar with most neighborhoods and needed a lot of direction on where to look for a home, based on our particular needs and circumstance. Paul knows the market and the neighborhoods on the East side extremely well. He listened to what we wanted and helped us zero in on an area that would be ideal for our family. He was also very patient with us as we went through the decision-making process. We were looking for a home we could buy and add some value by updating the finishes inside and/or out. Paul helped us understand what updates would add significant value, what updates wouldn't, how much the updates might cost, and how much was too much to spend on updates. Don't expect him to drive a flashy car or use the latest gadgets and technologies. He still prefers printed maps to GPS. But Paul is the real deal. He's old-school, but he has the experience that a buyer is looking for. There were several times during the negotiation and escrow process where we called upon Paul and his experience to resolve some issues that could have been major, but when dealt with properly, were quickly resolved. Lastly, Paul was completely honest with us and others throughout the whole process. We could not have been happier with the service he provided, and would recommend him to anyone looking to buy a home in the Redmond/Sammamish/Issaquah area.
Description of Work: Paul recently helped us find a great deal on a home in Klahanie in a seller's market, when the homes we were looking at received multiple offers and sold at thousands above asking price. During the whole process, Paul was consistent, reliable, and continually put our interests above his own. Paul is amazingly good at representing buyers. In fact, I think he typically represents his buyers, and his partner (Patty Ennis) represents sellers. His specialty is studying a market area and coming up with a range of value for a specific home, based on recent comparables, so that the buyer can make a competitive, informed offer and negotiate the best possible price.
