Avrio Surfaces installed the wrong countertop in our bathroom. Just think about that before you hire these guys. They did not do a good job on the seam between two slabs of quartz on our kitchen island. They installed a slab that has a scratch in the top. They scratched our new cabinets. No one from Avrio Surfaces has wanted to come by to see the job since install nor have they reached out to remedy or repair this. It will be one month since installation in just a few days. I can’t get this company to fix the problem and they certainly act like they don’t care. Save yourself the trouble and hire another company. Yes they were the low bid and there is a reason fir that.

Bad quality and worst customer service ever. My general contractor hired NW Granite for my house remodeling in 2014. Less than 3 years' normal use, one under-mount sink was detached from the counter-top, which I never seen before in my whole life. What a quality?! My general contractor helped contacting them for 3 weeks, one time they said they would call immediately but didn't. The other time they said they would come out and call first, I waited for a whole day, neither did they call nor did they show up. I then contacted the owner, Sergiu Bekchiu. He didn't even bother to reply to me. Where is their customer service?! NW Granite did their job at my house simply because my general contractor hired them, not because I chose them. If I knew they would have kept breaking their promises and being so rude, I would never have used them. I was wondering how many good reviews here were written by general contactors? Homeownes be aware!!!

We needed to get to get a quartz counter fabricated and installed in less than 4 weeks. Ashley was very good about working with me via email to get price estimates. Their prices were competitive, but they really won the bid based on being able to meet our schedule requirements. There were only two issues keeping them from getting an A rating from us: 1) Ashley failed to inform us that their under-mount sink installation did NOT include plumbing in the quote and I wasn't offered the opportunity to have it included. Sergiu helped make this right by finding me a plumber right before move-in at a reasonable rate--he also reminded his team to let future customers know about this. 2) The installers forgot to trim down the installation shims, which were just left sticking out. Sergiu also had this fixed right away after I let him know about the issue.

When I contacted NW Granite and Marble, I was told that it was my fault, that if I wanted it centered under the window I should have told them.   "It is standard practice to center the sink to the cabinet, and not to any outside influences like window or wall placement, unless specified at template. I just spoke with Pete and he doesn't have any record or memory of discussing centering the sink/faucet to the window. It still might not have been possible, depending on the cabinets and plumbing. By default, the sink is centered to the cabinet unless the customer specifies otherwise. I'm so very sorry but other than ripping it out and starting over, there's nothing we can really do."

Had I been a builder or a contractor I may have known how the template process works, but instead I counted on the professionals to help guide me through the process.  I had no idea what Pete was measuring, nor was I consulted on anything regarding placement, etc.  I was also not consulted prior to the hole being cutout for the faucet by the installer. The cabinet and the plumbing are not an issue, and I do not believe that Pete even looked to see how the existing plumbing was installed.

I relied on the professionals to guide me through the process and to point out these type of details - however I apparently  was supposed to know exactly what he was measuring for the template without any type of discussion and to know that my cabinet was not quite centered and that the standard is not to center the sink with the large window that it sits directly under.

I have talked to several people who are involved in remodels and they have concurred that they would have also had it lined up with the window from an aesthetic standpoint. I have also shown pictures to co-workers who agree on the placement and the disappointment with the sink and faucet not being centered with the window.

I feel as though I am being taken advantage of from a female perspective.  I do not think that they would make the same assertions if I was a man.

From start to finish, this company was amazing to work with.  I contacted one of the sales reps, Martin Sippy, to set up an in home consultation.  Just based on our conversation on the phone, I really liked him.  His customer service is top notch, something I feel is lacking with many companies these days.  He drove 45 minutes from the showroom location to my home and he brought samples of what colors he thought would work with our theme, based on our earlier conversation.  We found a Pental quartz color that would work perfect and he later called and gave me a rough estimate.  I had another company give me a bid later that same afternoon and was sorely disappointed because she was pushy and was trying to sell me something I didn't want (she even forgot to bring her samples).  I called Martin later that afternoon and he had mentioned that he talked with a Caesarstone rep who just happened to have an overstock of a color that was very similar to the one we picked.  He had us come to the showroom and we ended up liking it better than the original one we picked.  He even got us a better price than the Pental!  The quartz counters are amazing and our experience, from start to finish, was smooth and we had great communication during the entire process.  Would highly recommend working with Martin!

This company did everything wrong, and will not work with us to make right. The owner Sergio, even came out to look, agrees

that it was installed incorrectly, says he'll fix it, but now doesn't return any of our calls or text messages. Hired a lawyer to write a letter to him & he hasn't responded to that either. Now we are taking him to court to get his bond so we can re-do this whole mess.

Don't do business with this company! They have Woodinville address & Redmond address!

The provider did not provide the slab that I picked out.  I have pictures to document this.  My boyfriend verified  the slab we chose when he made the second payment. The initial install was done wrong. My cabinets were not level in the first place so the initial install should not have been done without resolving this issue. The provider made no effort to resolve this issue prior to installation. The counter top is not sitting on the cabinets flush and rattles if you sit something on top of it. This will crack with time and weight. I have tried to dispute the charges with my credit card and have come up empty. I have had the owner out to my home and he agreed the install was done improperly. He agreed to fix the issues and do a complete new install. We agreed to move forward and the provider was supposed to give me a list of places to look at the new granite. He has yet to respond to the service. We have requested half the money back. We have since had no response.

What a difficult and disappointing encounter!  The initial contact to select the stone and schedule the work was good but after that the company never did what they said they would and have left us with holes in the wall and no backsplash to cover them. The trouble started the day the countertops were to be installed when we were told the truck broke down and they would be out the following morning, a Saturday. No one showed that day and in fact they were closed that weekend. On Monday I was told someone would be out to measure for the sinks.  How could the countertops have been on the truck the previous Friday for installation if on Monday they realized they had lost the measurements taken 3 weeks earlier and the countertops had never been made? No explanation was given and two days later the same man who had measured three weeks prior came to measure again. When he returned to install the countertops there were no backsplashes and there was no stone left to make the them. This began another week of calls when I was told they were "waiting for  matching stone", "hand pulling a matching slab" and the backsplash was "being cut", "being polished", "to be installed Friday", "they were to be installed Saturday", "we will be there Monday afternoon", until finally on a Tuesday, I returned to the shop and they told me there was no way they would find stone to match but they would install one that didn't match unless I wanted to switch to tile although they don't install tile.
This has gone on for over two weeks. I have had numerous calls with Sergio, the owner, who at one point seemed to want to fix this but then went on to avoid me and blame the front desk for miscommunication.  Bottom line: they lost the measurements, lied about the work being ready for installation, measured incorrectly so there was not enough stone left for the backsplash, lied about being able to get more stone to make the backsplash.  All they ever had to do was say "We messed up, we are sorry.  How can we work together to make this right for both of us."
This is my first bad encounter with a company I found through Angie's List.  I will use the list again as I look for a tile person to fix the holes in the wall and install a backsplash that will (hopefully) work with the vanities.

NW granite and Marble came recommended to my by a trusted source who has had many good experiences with them in the past, so perhaps my experience was a fluke, but it was frustrating enough to drive me to write a review, which I rarely do.
Now that the work is complete I'm satisfied with the end product, but it was such a painful road to get here that I cannot recommend anyone use their services. Their communication skills are terrible, both internally and to their customer, ie. me. Internal miscommunication resulted in their having to come back and template twice, forgetting to bring support beams required for an overhang on the install day (then telling me they would have to charge me rush delivery to get them to me, which I had to argue my way out of), forgetting to bring the vanity countertop, then when they finally came back with it on another trip they had cut it out of the wrong material...and this was at about the half way point of the project. There were further screw-ups but I think you get the point...
Their communication to me throughout this process was also very poor. I received vague scheduling information that they would be back out "wednesday or thursday" then when thursday came around, still not having heard from them I had to call only to be told it would now be Friday...this kind of thing happened several times (I lost count, but I think it took something like 5 total visits to my house for them to complete what should have been a fairly simple job).
Hope this review is helpful in preventing someone else from going through this experience..

They were fabulous! They were very responsive- both on the phone and in person. The counter and backsplash look wonderful. I was particularly pleased with how they went above qnd beyond even hand delivering missing tile so that the backsplash could be installed before thanksgiving! I looked at a lot of providers and feel certain I picked the best one. I would definitely recommend them.

I stopped by their Seattle showroom and they showed me different options for what I wanted along with pricing estimates. Angela also suggested that I stop by their workshop in Woodinville to see slabs. I found a slab at the workshop and then we set a date for someone to come out and measure. The owner, Sergiu, came to do the measurements and explained the next steps. Two installers arrived with the finished countertop the following week. They installed the countertop and mounted the sinks in about an hour. Overall it was a great experience.

great job on the installation - very professional.  The material was exactly what we were looking for.  They also adjusted to a schedule delay based on cabinet installation.  We did have to negotiate on price and provide evidence of competitor pricing.  Typically you'd expect the vendor to stay connected with competitors.  no concerns about the quality of the material.  The installers knew exactly what they were doing and were done in a day.

Very willing to work with us on schedule.   I would definitely recommend them, but be prepared to compare pricing.

they were also prompt on quotes and great to work with on plans and details.

We went back to them for a quote on our countertop in the powder room and they were again the highest price, so we went with an alternate company at half the price - same material to match the kitchen quartz.

I was very impressed with this company's responsiveness, professionalism, quality, and price. My main point of contact was Yuri and he was extremely helpful through the process of selecting material, quote process, and really helped to meet our needs on the timeline. Their team that did the demo of our old countertops did a great job not to damage the cabinets and were very quick. The team that did the install of the new quartz in the bathroom and kitchen did a fantastic job -- very knowledgable and detailed in their work. This company definitely earned a top review -- I would use them again and refer them to friends/family.

Install went very well overall. Quartz counters are completely straight and seams are very hard to see. Sinks were also installed very well. Only complaint is that some of the work was subbed out, and the communication between subs wasn't great. We wound up having to pay our general for work that we though Nw granite was going to do

The materials that we purchased from NW Granite & Marble were of good quality.  We were very pleased with the countertop and vanity.  In contrast, we were disappointed with their responsiveness.  Several times when we expected to recieve a communication, we had to follow-up multiple times in order to get answers.  Communication and scheduling were not ideal with this company.

My main contact was Sergiu, the owner, and he couldn't have been more professional and knowledgeable.  I was incredibly slow in picking out what surface I wanted on my kitchen countertops.  I bounced back and forth between granite and marble and he was incredibly patient, informative and always happy to be answering my endless questions.  He also helped me in picking out my back splash and handled the installation of that, as well.  Again, i was having trouble making a decision and he never was pushy.
They were incredibly efficient in the demolition of the granite tiles and backsplash and measured for the slabs and installed them on the second day!  They also installed my fireclay sink.  They were precise and asked lots of questions and were neat and tidy! They covered my stone floors, covered furniture in the kitchen eating area, family room and swept when they were done.  Not only were all of his workmen pleasant, professional and did a great job, Sergiu checked the job every step of the way!
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone.  He has an Eastside and a Seattle location.   He definitely will be handling my next project!

I was concerned about Yelp reviews so had discussion with Sergiu. He added addendum to agreement to address my concerns and all went well with no issues or delays. Installers protected floors but got a bit impatient with my questions. Seam in 16+ foot run looks pretty darn good. Matching windowsill is stunning just like the rest of granite. The process was fast, efficient and priced very fairly. Plan on working with them again for backsplash and hopefully flooring before too long.
