Air Duct Cleaning
If you go for the "Negative Pressure" Air Duct Cleaning coupon, be prepared for a basic shop vac-ing of the first few feet of your vents while they connect a big vacuum in a box to one vent, which does nothing, because they don't seal off the other vents to actually create negative pressure. I asked if they got the vents upstairs and they assured me they did, but in fact did not because the paint was still bridging the crack between vent cover and wall. Nor will they even shop-vac the return vents to the furnace. This seemingly is just a chance for them to get into your house and try to up sell you on an *actual* air duct cleaning service for much more.

Air Duct Cleaning, Heating and Air Conditioning Service
I paid them upfront for the materials needed to complete the service. After I paid them and signed the contract they then notified me that I would have to pay an additional $2,000 for labor and parts once the work is completed. I feel that they are double charging me for materials. When I have contacted them regarding my compliant they have been very rude over the phone.

Air Duct Cleaning, Dryer Vent Cleaning
I bought a groupon to have the furnace ducts and dryer vent cleaned. It
became immediately apparent their intention was to try and sell a bunch
of overpriced services with a high pressure attitude. They offered to
clean and service my furnace for approximately $500. When I told them I
would have to look around and verify the price they were quick to tell
me how great their price was. I declined the additional services. I
later found them much cheaper. I also found they offered to service my
neighbors furnace for about 1/3 the price they quoted me. All in all not
the best money I ever spent.
They did show up during the time window the quoted.

They sent us a coupon to have the vents cleaned, so we called them to get the vents cleaned out. They wanted to put on their own blowers to clean it and charge us $600+. I was put off by the fact that they walked in and immediately tried to up sell us. I would put a caution out to anyone looking to use them that they will try to up sell you.

Maybe these guys are figuring out that an "oversell" or high-pressure selling hurts them badly in reviews, because Ernest, while he made the case, was careful not to get too pushy. Informative, helpful, offered options, but was curteous and remained positive and friendly when I said no.

Air Duct Cleaning
When they left our vents were still filthy. They tried to sell us a furnace cleaning for $700.00 which another profession said was completely unnecessary. They also tried to sell us $100.00 filters. Once we told them we weren't going to spend $700.00 they packed up and left. You do not need these services!!!!! We basically threw away $54.00.

Air Duct Cleaning
technician was very unprofessional. He tried to "upsell". I think that the excellent price is a way to get them in the door - and then they try to sell you a bunch of other things to make it worth their time. They criticized the work that our HVAC company had done. I called the HVAC company to get their take -- they have maintained my furnace & AC for many years and have built rapport with me -- they said that this company was feeding me a line. I do not believe that this company did a good job with the air ducts. Their ad said that the duct cleaning would cut down on dust in the house - which it has NOT.

Air Duct Cleaning
Absolutely Terrible!!! I phoned them and got a price for the duct cleaning b/c I saw that my neighbor 2 houses down was also using them. Well they told me it would be $85 for the duct cleaning, the same as was charged for my neighbor. When they arrived, the man named Matt was just ordering around his sidekick to do the work and then started to up sell me on 2 different plans. The way he described the plans was confusing and Plan A was cheaper, but Plan B was a "permanent" fix for $2315. At that point I told him I would think about it. About a 1/2 hour later he apparently did plan B which was clean the furnace/fan etc. WITHOUT my authorization and then wanted to charge me $685. I told him you must be kidding, and refused to pay such an outrageous amount. After that a verbal battle ensued with myself, Matt and his supervisor(on the phone), The supervisor (on the phone) made a remark about me being an East Indian customer. I was totally appalled by this and told them to leave. Matt, now disgruntled, order his sidekick to close up my furnace and leave, but before he did that he asked me for the $93.07 which I obliged being a man of my word. This all happened today. Unfortunately, my furnace/blower will now not even start. I am going to call my a friend that I know, and ask him to help me start it since he is a gas piping mechanic. I have not talked with the original neighbor who used them to ask them their experience which I will do when they get home today. Please Please Please BEAWARE OF THIS COMPANY---THEY ARE CON ARTISTS!!!!!!

Air Duct Cleaning
This company is nothing but a joke, they are just plain horrible They are a rip off/con artist and they use extremely high sale pressure tactics. They get you with a "bait and switch" coupon for a cheap air duct cleaning and then try to get you to buy thousands of dollars worth of unnecessary stuff. The whole time the guy would not leave us alone. He would actually follow us back and forth from the living room to the kitchen. He gave me "the sky is falling and you have to buy now" tactic. He would not let up unless we spent $1700 on a (lifetime) filter, a UV filter, and sanitizing. He tried to tell us over and over that this is must and you have to do it now because we cannot come back later. After we told him "NO" several times he reduced the price to $850 and took off the UV filter. We told him "NO" again and he wouldn't let up for 30 min. After he tried unsuccessfully to hammer a "yes" out of us he then tried to get us to pay an additional $75 per air intake vents. The funny thing is he tried to do this AFTER I already watched them clean the air intakes! COME ON ARE YOU SERIOUS??? Then believe it or not he tried to charge us another $50 to fix a very small 2in hole in one of the vents!!! But the best part out of the whole experience was watching them drive away. After the kind of high pressure sales tactic he used I would much rather deal with a used car salesman. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if you considering using this company DON"T!!!!!!!!!!!!! You will have nothing but a headache. Please listen to me and the other posters and do yourself a favor, DON"T USE THIS COMPANY!!!! They are a rip off!! Oh and by the way, I fixed the small hole in the vent for about $2 and it took me under five minutes to do.

Air Duct Cleaning
The workers were hardworking and quick. One was definitely the spokesperson and communicated with me what they were doing and if they recommended anything else. Initially, we intended to only have our air vents and dryer vent cleaned, but we didn't realize how dirty our furnace was. When he told us how much it would cost to clean the furnace, it seemed reasonable. Also, I had read all the comments on Angie's List about their "hard sell", so I was ready... which was very helpful. He did try to sell me a couple of other things and I just said no and he seemed okay with that. Lastly, we talked with him about a smell in our laundry room, and he repeated the cleaning of our dryer vent to insure that it was completely cleaned.

Air Duct Cleaning
They arrived late, but got right to work once they were here. At first they seemed fine, very friendly and anxious to please, however, as previous posts have said, they are into the Hard Sell. They kept insisting that we needed a full cleaning of our furnace for $500, along with an electostatic air filter and numerous other services. They were relentless in their sales pitch, altenating between insisting that the furnace cleaning was inperitive to our health, to insisting that it was imperitive to the health of our furnace! They also said they would agitate the air ducts to get out all of the debris, and that they would clean our dryer vent, but they didn't follow through on either one of those claims. Finally, what ever they did when they were messing around (repeatedly) with the furnace trying to convince us it needed to be cleaned, when they left our furnace wouldn't work! We called them to come back, but to no avail. Finally we called Complete Heating and Air Conditioning, who came right out, got our furnace going and told us that they would have done everything, thoroughly clean the vents, dryer vent, and clean and service the furnace for about $500 total. Next time we will just call them.

They did a fine job of the actual work. However, I was required to spend a good chunk of time listening to a sales pitch for a lot of expensive accoutrements I had no interest in. If they want to sell me extra stuff they should send me the information beforehand, so I can make an informed decision and they can schedule their time efficiently. After I turned it down, they finished the job with a hang-dog attitude. How many people get sucked in by these guys???

Air Duct Cleaning
Overall it went fine. From reading about this company here on AL, I was expecting the hard sell. I was just really honest that I couldn't afford any extra services. He seemed satisfied when I said if needed, I'd call him for further service. It probably helped that the furnace was just serviced 2 month ago, so was already in good shape. I, too, bought the better filter at probably twice the price but even with that, the service was less than anyone else. Of course he tried to sell me the UV cleaner as well, but I just told him there was no way - which was the truth. Overall, they did fine. They called days ahead to tell me they had to cancel the original appointment due to the terrible snow we had - which was completely understandable. We reset the appointment and they showed about 3 minutes before the earliest time they quoted for me. They got right to work. The supervisor even went through and inspected and made one of the guys come back when it was obvious he'd missed a vent. For the price, I am completely satisfied. I didn't give them an "A" because of the hard sell. I hate that. Thank goodness I knew that going in so wasn't blindsided. Thanks AFA and AL!

Air Duct Cleaning
I hired the company to clean my air ducts. Michael was very friendly and the crew was efficient at assessing the vent situation in the house and getting the cleaning done. The experience was uncomfortable because I got the hard sell to buy the electrostatic filter for $85 and have the furnace cleaned for about $500 more as well as getting pressured for quite a while to spend another $900 on a UV light. It took some doing, but I finally got him to take no for an answer on the UV light.
