This shop was given our vehicle after an accident for tear down to determine if it was totaled or not. Only went here as our insurance (major national company) had no local in-network shop to do the work on our brand. Before you read this further... After this was all over the insurance guys noted that the people involved in the day to day operation of this shop has changed due to retirements and issues like this have unfortunately become quite common. This was back in the day a *fantastic* shop. Sad story. :-( After waiting 30 days for news (a major snow fell a few days after we dropped off the car) both myself and insurance began to follow-up, numerous times.... After weeks of harassment by both of us they finally did the tear down. They then spent 4 days developing an estimate (which they charged for) when they knew the car was totaled due to the area of the frame damaged. Then came the good part. :-) The charges delivered to insurance for the tear down was well north of $10K which was the policy limit. They attempted to charge us for 60 days of storage, including over 30 days of time on the rack.. for a tear down... This also violated the shops stated policy of no storage fees unless they are waiting on us. Tear down charge itself was thousands of dollars when really they knew after removal of the fender and two other parts that the car was beyond repair. Insurance's regional management was quickly involved, the body shop network manager for the brand of car we own was involved also and was appalled. The insurance company called the delays by the shop "unconscionable" and compared it to someone who tried to charge $900 to pull one of their insureds out of a ditch during a snow storm. It finally took us making it clear to the shop that we were going to involve an attorney to get them to lower their pricing. Only then they lowered it to what they knew was the insurance cap. Insurance decided to pay rather than take it further as it was an out of network shop for them.

I was disappointed that the amount I had to pay was well above the estimate I was given.

Had a $1500 insurance-paid bumper repair with them. When they were working on the car, they found a hidden piece which was broken and not part of the estimate. They had to keep the car for an extra two business days to await shipping which was a bummer but totally understandable. Their work was good. Everything looks and functions great.
What soured the whole experience was when I came to pick up the car. At payment time (paying the deductible), they made a big stink about not wanting to honor a $40 prime-card discount. The receptionist was shouting at me about how they didn't know about this agreement, didn't have any record of it and weren't going to honor it. This was in front of other customers who were politely waiting. In the end, one of the guys called the boss to confirm that this is what we discussed and before getting confirmation decided it wasn't even worth fighting over and gave me the promised discount. It was embarrassing and totally unprofessional. A shouting match over forty dollars? Out of fifteen hundred?? Come on.

Accurate Auto Body has done repairs on my Acura and now my BMW. I have always been pleased with their work, service, communication and attention to detail. I will not take my car anywhere else when it comes to body work. They work with you to give you the best price and are great with working with insurance companies. Their staff is always helpful and they make collision repair the most stress free experience possible. Tim, Justin, Linda and LeAnn are just great!!!
