I believe the pricing we provided you was for the items you were considering to replace not because they absolutely have to be but because we wanted to give you an idea of the costs. Your panel is pretty old and we did recommend replacing it in the near future to avoid problems. As for the outlets, I am not sure if this was a misunderstanding but I did check with the technician and he confirmed that the outlets he pointed out do in fact need to be GFCI protected and they weren't at the time of the inspection. I called 24/7 on a Thursday and they said someone should arrive w/in the hour. In 10 minutes the doorbell rang. Igor was professional and cheery. He identified the problem as a broken circuit from a single outlet and restored power to our kitchen outlets in 10 minutes. He also gave me a quick estimate on a transfer switch for my generator when I told him we were going to bid the project. His price is right inline w/ what research I've found on installing transfer switch kits. Igor is a VERY nice guy and we'd call 24/7 if we have other problems.
