I used GDX to replace two garage doors. They did a site pre check about 5 weeks prior to install and I explained that the current garage doors need to be replaced and all other items such as springs, engines and everything to make them operational. I explained to them that I need to put my home on the market and I scheduled the install after the paint job. They gave me a 3k price. That was a bit more then I had Home Depot charge me and they offered glass doors too but the install timeline didn't meet with what I needed so I went with GDX with no windows plain simple doors. On install day the installers come and tell me Do you need engines for both doors? I'm like of course. They tell me its additional $380 per door plus tax. I'm like when the initial on site inspection came from your company I told them I needed everything and they tell me well we have the doors and springs and all items in work order but No engines. You can operate the doors with opening them by hand engines are not required. I'm like seriously? I tried to call and text the office person who I scheduled everything with and no response. Installers say if you don't like it we can leave and you can find another company. I'm like I scheduled this over a month ago clearly you know my timeline I can't reschedule. So I ended up paying $4,100 for the doors. They clearly knew I can't reschedule so they took advantage fo the situation. After install I tried to reach the office to discuss this and no response what so ever. Very unprofessional company and scammers.

I purchased a garaged door opener and install from Lowe's. GDX was the company that was contracted to do the work. The work was scheduled directly with GDX, and the went very smoothly. The two young men who installed the garage door opener were prompt and professional. They had the opener installed quickly. it was evident they knew what they were doing.

service was excellent, but had some trouble getting hold of them initially.

They were excellent. They came within hours and put in a garage door for me. They came out again because I think I had an issue. There weren't any problems with the one they put in. They were excellent. They came out and fixed when I had an issue. They came out again in 2010 because there was some light that went out on the pad and the job was just as simple. He apologized and fixed it without any charge. The work turned out good. One problem is that sometimes I can call them and then another time there's another person saying it's hard to reach in that time so I didn't call them that's because they were on the field, but when they do contact, they come right away within a day. The price was pretty reasonable. It's like an average garage door. It was between $250 and $300 or something like that (something that the average people would spend in) I would use them again in the future.

We had trouble opening the garage door, and I finally noticed that a torsion spring was broken. I checked Angie's List, and GDX was nearby with great reviews. We called them, they came out promptly, replaced the springs and checked out the operation. Very courteous and very happy with their service.

CDX called me and offered me an appointment on a Saturday as a cancellation had come up. I was thrilled as I had been hand-opening my garage door. Being only 5'2", this was very difficult for me. Aren't we getting spoiled? They came right on time and got right to work. He installed it carefully and expertly.

Todd arrived as schedule. One of the opener was a straightforward install, but the other installation was more complicated because my attic was in the way of the motor. The motor and the screw was too long to fit in. In order to do this install, Todd had to saw off about 1.5 inch off the screw casing, which does not affect the functioning of the opener. Todd went so far as to call the opener manufacturer to make sure that the warranty is not voided. That's service above and beyond what is expected. The installation was completed on time and done professionally. I am very happy with the work done.
