+ -1 moreCedar County Landscaping did an excellent job on our project, which was installing a side yard crushed lava rock walkway with stepping stones. Jesus, who was the estimator and project foreman, initially came out to look at our yard and provided a detailed estimate. After agreeing to move forward with the project, Jacob did a great job of communicating with us to get the contract signed and scheduling. A few days later Jesus and his crew showed up on time and did a great job of installing the walkway in one day as promised. Their work was fantastic and they also did a great job of cleaning up. I highly recommend this company for your project!

+ -1 moreWe have a big yard and it needed some serious help. Everything from trimming all of our hedges, trees and shrubs to weeding and spreading some mulch in our beds. When they said they'd have the job complete in one day I was skeptical, it was A LOT of work. Well, they proved me wrong! Their guys all worked well together and were genuinely happy and clearly took great pride in what they are doing. I was so impressed with their work I am scheduling my next job now, to say ahead of the rush. Word of advise, call them early because guys that do this good of work stay busy!

After a less than ideal experience with another landscaping company, we hired Cedar County Landscaping to finish a patio and walkway project. First they had to correct deficiencies in the previous work, then continue with a complex pattern, and translate our thoughts into a hardscape reality. We have found their craftsmanship to be superior. The crew consistently arrived at the job site on time and worked diligently throughout the day. They solicited feedback and fielded our many questions to ensure the end product was as desired. All of the Cedar County Landscaping employees have been courteous, professional, and personable. We will not hesitate to use them again for future projects.
Description of Work: We had them finish a dimensional bluestone patio and walkway that another contractor did not finish. The walkway had has a Y in it and black granite boarders.

Description of Work: Weekly yard mantenance it went well except for few occasions they didn't respond to my calls and seem to not care and didn't come back to do work.They said I locked my gate I said did u call me? They didn't botherto respond except saying gate was closed.I thought that was irresponsible by not at least given me a courtesy calling. I only gave them B grade because they are really good just not responsive.

+ 0 moreOne person worked about half a day on the lawn. He leveled out the moved dirt from the pavers –including rocks- and threw on grass seed and peat moss. The first rain we had rocks showing through the peat. He hadn’t even bother to remove baseball sized rocks. He brought in topsoil for other areas and raked. No grading, no machine as promised. Nothing was rolled or tamped. The result? The topsoil settled in the low spots so we have the same problems but with new grass seed on top. We still can’t walk on it without tramping down the soil and making more of a mess than we had. They also charged us for spraying for weeds, but never did it. Said they would refund the money charged for the weed spray, but we’re still waiting. Will never use this company again.
Description of Work: We hired them to level out low spots in our lawn, plus grade a couple of areas to create a smoother slope. We were told they would bring out a small machine that could level the slope, and they would fill in the low spots. They also put in some pavers by digging out the dirt, and wheel barrowing to another area. Estimate included "level out the backyard lawn in the low spots and grade.

+ 1 moreOverall this was a good experience. We did feel that it would have been good to see a supervisor on the job a little more often as the workers had limited English. Specifics need to be addressed on the contract to make sure what is included and that everyone involved knows what is expected. Sketches are important. Nail down the details. The landscaping went through the winter and came back looking great.
Description of Work: We had a large project done. Total redo of front yard with rock retaining wall built and also a new driveway and sidewalk. New privacy hedge planted with 30 Thuja trees. Beautiful job. Amazing transformation. The workers arrived on time and were very hard working. There were a few problems of course as with any project. Equipment breakdowns and such. Several underground wires were cut even though locating was done. We have heard that we could be charged by the utility company for this but have not heard as of yet. Certain items should have been clarified on the contract but all worked out in the end. They came back and replaced some of the trees that did not make it after a couple of months. The owner is responsive to calls. The concrete work was done by a different company but a top notch job.

Description of Work: Created "curb appeal" in what was a tired, boring, old front yard. Cleaned up ivy clinging to house both front and back, that was totally out of control. Pruned large, old rhodys and camillias very nicely. Cleaned up backyard and removed all debris. Entire property now looks fresh.
