Great service and quality

The floors looked beautiful after Maxcare was done. I am very pleased with the entire experience, from the quote process to the final product Maxcare was extremely professional and knowledgeable. I was amazed there was no dust from their work. They did a great job in containing the dust and cleaning up after. I've had other types of remodel work done from other businesses and have had big messes to clean up after. I have already referred them to my friends and will continue to do so for anyone I know looking for hardwood floor services.

The crew was wonderful they did a fantastic job. They were respectful and professional. They treated our house as if it was their own. The price was very competitive. My main reason for hiring them over the competition was the guarantee "no dust" which was the case when I returned home. My floors look brand new again. I would highly recommend Maxfloors to anyone.

Impressive service and quality installation. We purchased from and had Maxcare install solid hardwoods throughout our entire home including the 4 bedrooms and all closets. We did not want to trust our large project to just any anyone. Some even tried to talk us out of doing the closets and bedrooms because that takes more skilled installers than simply doing the big rooms would. We also found the big box retailers did not really have the understanding to help you choose a hardwood flooring that would have a "wow" result. Well our hardwood floors will be 4 years old in two months and we are still hearing "wow you have beautiful floors" from almost everyone who steps into our house for the first time. Even guests who have been to our home many time still often remark on how beautiful our hardwood floors are. First impressions are important and our hardwoods fit our home's character and our lifestyle perfectly. Jon (the owner) was our estimator and he has a clear understanding of what real quality and style looks like when it comes to a hardwood floor. He hires installers that have that same vision of quality when it comes to the installation too. We are as happy today with our hardwoods as we were 4 years ago. We would highly recommend this company to anyone!

Wonderful yet again. These guys provide consistent awesomeness. Six years ago they stained and refinished my existing hardwood floors (beautiful!). They also installed new carpet & pad in the rest of my house. Professional, highly skilled, kind, prompt, communicative and detailed. I had them re-carpet and pad my mom's house this summer and was very satisfied with all aspects of working with them again. Same great experience after 6 years. Highly recommend.

We had our 68 year honey colored hard wood floors refinished and stained to a beautiful dark brown that they mixed specially for us!! There was absolutely NO dust left behind. We were amazed at the way they turned out. It looks like we had brand new floors installed. The crew was respectful and arrived when they said. I would highly recommend Maxcare Hardwood Floors. I would use them again and again!!!

Maxcare replaced about 2200 square feet of hardwood and hired subs to complete sheetrock and painting. The job was done superbly and in a timely fashion. The workers were professional and a joy to be around. Most definitely would recommend Maxcare to anyone

First, Jon and Alyssa are sincere professionals. We enjoyed working with Alyssa during the project and enjoyed meeting Jon after it was completed. Our ratings regarding the project are down because we felt we did not get a good result, one that should have been expected. 1.) The majority of the trouble was because of how the stain was applied. Instead of applying the stain with a pad in the direction of the grain and direction of the wood, a "wet mop" technique was used back and forth which caused swirls and horizontal application of the stain which when dried left very visible dark cross-running blemishes, obscuring the grain is many cases. We noted at least eight of these more major ones. The photos included in this review show just a few to illustrate. 2.) The contract stated that they would fill in gaps or places where wood filler was needed. This did not happen as far as we could see as shown by the photos herein. 3.) The stain was a newer, perhaps experimental, one called a "vinegar stain" which Alyssa seemed to highly regard. Later she said we were told that they could not predict the outcome as she stated: "Just like we mentioned when you guys were picking out the stain, we do not know what the outcome of the floor will look like." Only one of us remembered that statement but misinterpreted the meaning. My wife thought you were referring to the color on the different shades of wood and not the problems we have now noted. In retrospect, we are now sorry we picked the vinegar stain process, thinking now why should we have wanted a procedure where the outcome could not be predicted? 4.) the 2 week project dragged out to 36 days In the final analysis, the dissatisfaction could have been avoided if the application method would have been correct and a more traditional stain used. Overall, even though we are disappointed with the whole project, we accept the end result, knowing it wasn't going to be redone, but we will always know that those mistakes are there. We just had an overall disappointing experience and are sorry it didn't go as expected. --End Cost: $10,159.

Everything was perfect! Price, quality and installation was outstanding. Brenda and this company did exactly what they said they would do and when they were supposed to do it. I highly recommend this company.

From the first time we met with Jon Engles, the owner of MaxCare hardwood floors, we felt comfortable with Jon and felt we could trust him. He also was recommended by our insurance company. We felt if our insurance company trusted him, we could too. Jon Engles was very friendly, helpful and had good advice for us in assisting us picking out new flooring. We had been over whelmed with the thought of getting new floors in most of our home. He and his wonderful team made it painless for us. The crew arrived promptly on the day and time scheduled. Mark and John worked hard, fast and had no problems answering any questions or concerns we had. They were so very careful with our furniture and rest of our home. The owner Jon Engles even came by to make sure we were happy with his guys and the installation of the new flooring. His workers spoke highly of MaxCare hardwood floors and had worked for them for many years. It took them only 3 1/2 days to replace all the floors. They left our home clean, put furniture back and even vacuumed. We will not hesitate to recommend MaxCare Hardwood Floors for any type of flooring needed. I know we will be calling them again for new carpet in the future. Stop by their shop, the employees at the shop are so friendly and helpful. Excellent experience from start to finish and the floors look amazing! The entire staff, sales, install, finishing crews were knowledgeable, reliable, and professional. The job was done on time and on budget. Our sale was handled by the owner who obviously is passionate about what he does, he had very helpful insight and suggestions, all I had to do was say I have 3 small kids and 1 huge dog and he knew exactly what to do. I highly recommend this company!

I had already met with one other company when I had Maxcare out to give me a bid. Jon, the owner, came out and gave me lots of information about what their process was and the different benefits of the different type of refinishing processes they offered. The other company said they wouldn't recommend a stain because of the species of wood I had. Jon told me that it would not be an issue with their systems. He then explained their 100% Dust Free system. After that, I made up my mind that they would be the ones I used. I visited their showroom to see some samples of stain options, and took home the one that I though would be the best. It looked awesome in my home. They put me on their schedule, about a month out, and I waited. The guys came out and got to work when they said they would, I checked my security monitoring service online to see what time they got there. I left a note for the guys asking them to send me progress photos along the way. Jonatan sent me a message the first day with photos, and then some more the next couple days with their progress. When I got there after they were done, I was in awe over how much of a transformation they had completed. Everything looked amazing!

Maxcare did a great job and within the time frame they set. They were very flexable in working with our schedule as well. our hardwood floor's look great.

Unfortantly i had a very bad experience with Maxcare. The beginning started off great with the consultation. But once i booked with them to stain my hardwoods it only went down hill from there. I had very worned down hardwood floors and they were a light shade of oak. And my intention was to stain them dark. I wanted to get my house updated and out of the oak stage. The first day of staining started off with the contractors buffing down my hardwoods to their natural look and then testing multiple stain colors on my unfinished floor because as the Maxcare employee had stated to me that because i have real hardwoods. The stain would adhere differently then it would if they were laminite or some other type of wood. Etc. The first couple of swatches of stain that they rubbed on my floor were not at all what i liked. But as the consultant had said at my first consultation that all kinds of stains can be tested on my floor once buffed out because since i have real natural hardwoods that the wood would take the stains differently. After the 3rd swatch the Maxcare employee became very frustrated that i was asking him to swatch so many stains on my floor. And said to me. " wow your really picky arent you". I said to him yes i am. This is alot of money and I am the one that has to live with these floors. I want to make sure i love them. After a few more swatches i picked out my color a few moments later they began to buff the rest of my floors. Once everything was buffed and cleaned they began to stain. But because my hardwoods are thru out my entire home and i have dogs. My husband and i had to stay at a hotel the second day they started working. We were allowed to stay in our home for buffing and partial staining but once they got to my entry way we needed to head out. As i was gathering my things to get ready for the hotel. A maxcare employee pulls me aside and tells me what a horrible choice i made picking this stain color. And that he thought it was ugly. Um excuse me last time i checked i wasnt paying you to give me your opinion i paid you to stain. A few more other employees came into my home. One which was under the influence. I am in the medical field and i know what someone looks like when they are under the influence of drugs. Etc. He had pinned eyes. He was slurring his speech. Sweating profusely and couldnt maintin conversation. The next day i came back and realized my oven wasnt pulled out. I stated to the Maxcare employee that i paid for the oven to be pulled out and my hardwoods to be stained under my oven. He stated we only pull out the oven drawer. I said my oven doesnt have a lower drawer. Its all one piece. He argued with me some more. I finally had to walk up my stairs to my office and find my maxcare paperwork to show that i paid for the oven to be pulled out. Once I showed him the paperwork. He completed the work. Once my hardwoods were stained i thought the end product lookes great and I was thankful this horrible experience with Maxcare was over. The next day i come to find out that when they moved my refrigerator to stain the hardwoods underneath. they neglected to plug my fridge and water back. So i had to call them again to come back and hook up my fridge. All in all the experience was miserable and i wouldnt recommend this company to anyone.

I could not be happier! We bought the house new and the floors look way better than when we bought it. We upgraded to their dust free option. Everyone I talked to including a trusted home remodeling contractor scoffed at "Dust Free" floor refinishing. We'll I can certify Maxcare Hardwood Floors process is true to their word - completely dust free.

MaxCare did a wonderful job on our floors. Their floor refinishing is truly dust free and their was no cleanup. From beginning to end we were very pleased and impressed with the company. Each person we spoke to or interacted with was very knowledgeable and professional. Their customer service is top notch. I would highly recommend their services.

The process started out well and was estimated to take 2 weeks from start to finish. And if the review was just for the floors I would have been happy. My floors are great, but the rest of the experience was horribly stressful! The initial tear-out and installation had a mix up, and we were shorted 96 sq ft, but that was promptly corrected, and things proceeded as scheduled. The staining/refinishing process was 3 days where we were out of the house. We returned to damaged kitchen cabinets, stain where is should not have been (e.g. door jams, door frames, door handles, cabinets), tools out of place in the garage after specific instructions not to go in there, and garbage left, and carpet end not being finished. After attempting to contact the office (which took a week for a response) we were "fit into the schedule because they had other projects that needed to be finished". This put us out another 4 weeks. It took another week for them to tell me theyou were scheduling with their carpet person, and another 2 weeks after that we have a date. All in all the project has taken 9 weeks, we have an appointment to have the carpet finished, but the total project still isn't done! We have called and emailed and end up talking to 2 different people who don't seem to talk to one another about the project. Call one person and the other will email you back. Never a phone call! Plus when they do try and schedule something it is usually with 12-16 hours notice. If you can't make that work expect it to be 2 weeks minimum. I have never been so stressed out over a project in my life.
