overall, from start to finish very profession group. Sales person gave good information and answered all questions. Came on site with 2 installers to check in. Installers were great and answered our questions well. Did a great job with installation, and cleaned up well. So far happy with new unit.

Thank you for taking care of my problem so quickly. Your employees were here right on time. They are very good endorsements for your company. It seems like they finished up, cleaned up and started the fire up without any hitches or glitches. I know this new furnace, though inconvenient to need, when I reach a more advanced age will give me a lot of cozy winter days and nights. I think the advanced age starts tonight. I do like the looks of the unit and the new thermostat makes more sense to my brain. Thank you for taking good care of me.

The team at Expert was great from start to finish. I didn't know what i wanted, the sales rep must have provided me 15 different quotes as he explained and i learned about different features and asked for revisions. Finally decided on one and set up the appointment. The install was great, first day there were 4 or 5 technicians, and two returned the following week to finish up some additional work we requested during install. They were all great and I would recommend this team to anyone.

Run Run RUN away from this company! I am aghast at how this company has survived all these years by treating the customers that don’t praise them. If there is an issue with the install or with an inspection, it is always the customer's fault - they accept no responsibility for any of their actions. Just read the reviews on all review sites to see their response to a customer that is not happy - you can tell that they accept no responsibility. I am even more surprised that somehow they have an A+ rating with the BBB with all the complaints they have had in their years. We filed a complaint with the BBB and while we thought there would be some kind of arbitration or something that would encourage them to accept their responsibilities, there was nothing. We decided in the end, we would allow the complaint to stand on the BBB site as an example of how people are treated. If you read our complaint dated 8/9/17 all the way through, you will see where the NEW owner contradicts himself many times and tries to transfer the blame for wrongdoing to us. Take the time and do your own research - this company does not care about anything but getting your money - they do not care about doing the right thing or taking care of a customer. We found the Washington Labor and Industry site where you can see the outcome of all inspections. I did a search for Advanced Filter from 3/1/17 to 5/1/17, and a search for another Lennox dealer, Brennan Heating, for the same dates. Advanced Filter had 26 permits, and 6 were initially denied and required corrections (including ours). Brennan Heating had more than 10 pages of permits, and after 20 permits I only found 1 permit denied for something besides "premises locked, no access". This sample shows that appx ⅕ of all their installs fail inspections on the first time through. This also means to the consumer that you will have to stay home from work on more days than initially discussed. Overall, I would NOT recommend this company! I would recommend that you have your neighbor who doesn’t know his way around a wrench install your appliance before allowing this company in your home.

The biggest crew they had here at one time was 3 but that was 2 technicians and an electrician and the electrician left. ?They were very courteous, very thorough, did neat work. ?They ran into some problem with the physical construction of the house and they handled that very well. ?Their clean up was neat. They were good, very good.

The company called later in the day and said their technician Kevin was running late and that he would arrive after 5PM and he arrived at 5:36PM. Kevin took off his shoes and I showed him where the furnace was. The problem was quickly diagnosed as a faulty igniter with a volt ohm meter and the diagnostic lights on the furnace. He got a replacement from his truck and installed it. The furnace came up, the gas ignited and everything was functioning normally. The igniter is a ceramic block about the size of a computer mouse and heats up a metal strip that ignites the gas. The charge for the technician travel and diagnostic fee was $99, an expected price. The second charge astounded me, $281.56 for removing and replacing the ignitor, an operation that took less than 15 minutes. I later researched Trane Nitride Hot Surface ignitors and found they are readily available on the from many vendors for $50 or less. I don't mind paying double or even triple for the igniter because there is a cost to keep it in inventory and carry it around on your truck but 550% mark-up is excessive in my opinion. Including tax, the total was $416.71 for less than 45 minutes work and a $50 part. I could not find an email address for the company and wrote them a letter explaining my concerns. It has been 2.5 weeks and they have not responded.

  1. Dave at AFM (who also is the owner) came out to provide us a quote on a Lennox system. He quoted us for the XC21 a/c+coil, the SLP98V furnace and a iComfort thermostat. He provided us with a heat load calculation on the system, was responsive to several of our changes and asks. He also committed to having the system installed before the 10th of July when we had family coming into town. His people came out on time and did a clean job. At the time of the install we found out that Lennox had upgraded us to the XP25 heat pump instead of the a/c since they were out of the XC21 a/cs. That was a pleasant surprise since the XP25 is also more expensive than the a/c. In any case, the install went well. They needed more time however than one day and Dave rearranged their schedules so that they could come out on the 8th and finish out the job. Dave also provided us with a copy of the AHRI certificate (required to apply for utility rebates), Lennox rebate forms and the electrical and mechanical permits. System is working well. The electrician also pointed out a code violation in the current water heater wiring which we have to get fixed. After the install, the installers explained the operation of the system and the thermostat as well.

We were thrilled when the office called us that they had a cancellation and would like to know if we would like the unit installed a week earlier than scheduled.  Due to unusually high temperatures here we immediately accepted.  Juan, our installer arrived a little before the scheduled time.  He introduced himself to us and walked through all of the areas where the installation was going to be done reviewing how the unit was going to be installed and where everything was going.  Some things needed to be moved out of the way of the electrical panel and he offered to help move things.  He was personable, polite, efficient, and there wasn't any dust, dirt, parts, or boxes left anywhere when he was done (this is a huge pet peeve of mine when companies come in to do work and leave a mess).  The unit is easy to use and we couldn't be more pleased.  The office had arranged for all permits and scheduled the inspection for us after the installation was complete.  Last thing to see will be what is added onto the electric bill, but we were informed that these units are very efficient and so far everything that we were told has been spot on!
I wish I could find other companies as good as this one for some of our other projects.  We can't thank Dave enough for his excellent service and top notch staff and installers.  And a huge thank you to Juan for his excellent work with our installation!

Work with these people at your own risk, keep the entire paper trail, and never take their promises unless they're in writing. Their response to my review was to manufacture facts because the truth made them look bad. Caveat emptor (buyer beware).

The work performed was outstanding.  Not only was the crew, Dave, James and Jim, on time for both visits, (James only came out for the first visit) the work performed was excellent.

The first phase of the installation was the heat pump.   As we did not have an existing heat pump, the installation involved everything from running the wiring, to removal and re-installation of the furnace, to running the coolant lines and modification of the existing duct work.  The work was flawless and professional, the resulting completion of phase one left our home looking as though the heat pump and furnace were always a part of it.

Phase two of our project was the installation of the back up generator.  This too went exceptionally well.  Jim, had done a lot of wiring in advance and while Dave, worked on setting up the generator, Jim completed the installation and transfer of circuits from the old breaker panel to the new one.  Here again, everything went exactly as expected and in very short order the generator installation was completed and the generator operational.
A minor part in all of this work was the restoration of power to an old outlet by our pond and the raising of it and the operational outlet by about 14 inches.  Dave, swiftly and expertly raised both outlets and restored the old one, thus allowing us to complete a raised terrace at that end of the pond.

We have used Advanced Filter and Mechanical, since 2001 and cannot be happier with them.  They have regularly serviced our furnace which they installed when we built our addition in 2001 and we will continue to have them service not only the furnace, but our new heat pump and generator as well.

There are only a few companies out there that we feel deserve a high level of customer devotion, Advanced Filter and Mechanical is one of them.

Took a few days to get on the installation schedule.  Competitive pricing.  As far as water heaters go I am pleased with the quality and the appearance of the new tank. The space available to install the tank is off the ground on a shelf in the garage next to our furnance and gas lines.  Bob did a good job adding the expansion tank and lines with limited space to work with.  Company was professional in all aspects of service.  It's been 8 months since installation and we have not had any issues with installation or the product.

The installer arrived on time and introduced me to every worker on this project. Very respectful and professional. There was one glitch on the project, handled professionally by the owner. I hope Advance Filter treats every customer like royalty as they did me. Very happy with the service they provided.
