"[Member Name Removed] ordered a Special Order Linear Fireplace with Special Order components that are manufactured in Canada and took an extended amount of time to arrive. After the installers started the project it was discovered that a Hot Air distribution was A- Not needed and B- would not work with the design specifics he wanted. We follow manufacturer installation instructions and adhere to their clearance requirements. For [Member Name Removed] to say we do not is not true. He, in fact, wanted to crew to over look them to make the placement of a mirror and the Hot Air Kit possible. We came up with an alternative solution and credited his account for the pieces he did not need. During installation he had another "contractor" on sight that was telling the crew that specializes in fireplace how to do their job. This was a huge distraction and added to their frustration. Mr. [Member Name Removed] made us install a header beam on a non load bearing wall that added to the duration of the project and he refused to pay the added cost for the beam. All of our staff that run gas lines are certified to do so. It is not a requirement to have a licensed plumber do gas line work in his city. In fact we can not even purchase the equipment without having current certifications on file. The gas line needed for this fireplace was a whip that tied into gas line that was already so that isn't even what we consider "running gas line" it was an alteration of existing. Installation of fireplaces is a very specialized trade. We take our work very seriously."
