B & H Construction & Painting Co

We talked with several bidders about this project and received varying opinions about what needed to be done, what the costs would be, and whether or not permits would be required. Some bids were obvious low b**** and many bidders tried to convince us that permits were not necessary. We did extensive research in making our decision. We checked the Bellevue City permit requirements, the Better Business Bureau, the California Redwood Association, and the WA State Labor and Industries web site. B&H Construction gave us the best project plan and a very reasonable cost estimate. They also passed with flying colors with BBB, L&I, and Angie's List. We accepted their bid and worked was started promptly and completed in two and a half weeks. They took care to protect the work areas (for example, our dining room) from damage or debris. We appreciated that they did not wait to remove trash and debris until after the job was completed but did so while the job progressed. The B&H crew, especially Richard, worked with care and the results were excellant. Brad Wilson, president of B&H, was informative and responded promptly and completely to any questions or concerns that we had. The final project cost came in below estimate and we received a senior discount. We would definitely use B&H for any future projects.

They were competley overpriced but they were dependable. I do have a gutter and roof that is leaking and they are slow to repair that. The contractor, Brad, is responding it's just that his sub contracors are not. They were punctual and professional. They did good work and Brad does stand up for his work - they are just priced rather high.

I thought that the people who did the actual work were great and very helpful. I could tell that they were conscientious, but I noticed that they paid very little attention to detail. Something happened with the general contractor, but it wasn t worth the fuss. They were also a little expensive.
