I contacted Matt (the owner) on a Wednesday afternoon asking if he was interested in performing the work for me. I have used him in the past with good results. He met me within one hour at my house and gave me a written bid on the spot. He scheduled me for an afternoon 2 days later. He arrived with his crew, truck and chipper when expected. He personally ran the chain saw while his crew of three hauled off the pieces to me chipped or loaded into the truck. He also removed an apple tree that had been knocked down by the larger tree (at no additional cost since it was not visible uuder the fallen tree). The work area was clean with minimal evidence of the chain saw tree shavings.
As stated, the bid for this work was $450.00. A national tree service used by my neighbor's insurance company quoted $660.00 for the same work,
