It went perfect. The man that came from Abbey carpet & floor I believe also brought his son which I like that the store is family owned and local. But the major thing was that they were punctual. They arrived when they said they would and they stayed for a little over an hour. They were very friendly and nice. I would recommend them and I will probably use them when I decided to upgrade to hardwood flooring. They only downside was the price is a little high. It was $300 to repair a small area.

The representative came out and took measurements and worked with us to minimize the carpet that needed to be ordered. The installation crews were very professional and did an excellent job cleaning up after the installation.

The sales representative, Maureen, was great. She worked with us, gave us good things to think about and let us take samples home to look at for a few days. Once we placed our order, the installation was scheduled for three weeks out. The laminate was delivered the Friday before the project started (on Monday). I wish I had a little more communication about what time they were coming Monday morning - they arrived about ten minutes to 8.
They came in three teams (again, didn't know what order they were coming in): laminate, vinyl, and carpet. The laminate guys came first (two people) and they were great. They were really flexible as far as where we wanted them to start and even helped us move a couple pieces of furniture. It was two full days of work for them. They were professional and careful with our walls.
They told us who to expect next - the vinyl guys. They didn't speak great English, so didn't know how long it would take (this ended up being about a day and a half). They started work wherever they wanted (as opposed to asking us where we wanted them to start - the downstairs bathroom would have been a better place so we could have one working toilet at all times), but they were very careful with our new laminate as they had to move the fridge onto it.
Finally, one guy came to do the carpet (one master bedroom, two small rooms, and the stairs) by himself on Friday. He didn't introduce himself. I assumed he was coming at 8 like the other guys were, but again, no communication...he came at about 8:45. He seemed to do a good job, but upon inspection after he'd left, he nicked paint and pieces of drywall off our walls in places (we had two freshly painted bedrooms too!), and left tons of staples in the carpets even after he supposedly vacuumed. We have two young kids, so this was a pretty big deal. He also seemed to be in a hurry to get out the door. When we asked him about a transition piece from the vinyl to carpet in our bathroom, he said he thought the laminate guys would do it, which it doesn't make sense to have laminate transition between vinyl and carpet, but whatever. He finally went to his truck to get the piece to do it, but he seemed to bend it out of shape on purpose so he couldn't do it and we'd have to have the laminate guys come back to do it.
Overall, it was a great buying process and installation. Good quality work, but we really just have an issue with the guy who did our carpets. If you haven't had flooring replaced before, expect A LOT of dust and smells (I didn't expect dust for whatever reason) and for it to be a lot of work moving all your stuff from one room to another in one night.

ABBEY CARPET DID A GOOD JOB INSTALLING THE NEW PAD AND ALSO THE CARPET. THERE ARE NO SEEMS OR GLUE SPOTS ON THE CARPET AND THE OVERALL FINISHED JOB WAS DONE TO OUR SATISFACTION.
