P & A Roofing

It met my expectations. There were still a little bit of stuff I had to do. It was in line with my expectations. It was pretty clean. He was very prompt. He came out and met me right away. It was also a very good value because it was priced competitively.

I requested estimates from several Roofing Companies listed on Angie's list serving the Kitsap Pennisula.  The highest rated ones wanted around $8k plus adds for flashing around skylight, new ridge vent, and replacing a piece of sheeting.  P& A Roofing is a small company and had no review on Angie's list but I asked for an estimate.  I was shocked to see the estimate was $4k, half the price of the others.  When I called to ask what it included, I was told everything.  After discussing the estimate in depth with Pete, the company owner, I checked him out and found that he was a long time resident of the area.  Pete revised the contract to include everything.  I was satisfied and signed the contract.  I gave him the cost of the materials and the crew arrived as agreed.  They did not stop until the job was done.  They were took care of every detail , carefully, quitely, and neatly. They found that two fashia boads had rot on them and replaced them at no extra charge.  When they were done, I could not find a single discarded scrap or nail and the roof looked perfect.  I was amazed.   We have had a couple of wind storms with heavy rains and the roof has proven weather tight.  I am still amazed and delighted.

I asked him to do some extra work for me. We have skylights and I asked them to bring them down. I cleaned them and wanted to put a reflective coating on them. They are very heavy but they still did it for me. The only problem I had brought up to him was that he needed to make sure his bids were signed. I paid half up front, but I could have not given him anymore money. He is a new business so he is still learning. I got bids from different companies and they were all three times what his bid was. They were on time. We had a skylight leaking the first time it rained. He came over, took it down, and caulked it. We haven't had any problems with it since.
