The crew of 3 that showed up was punctual and friendly. They worked had unloading the truck, but 2 major issues occured:
1. They took an hour for lunch and charged us for that time at $160 per hour.
2. When they finished unloading they began assembling some of the furniture (beds, tables, chairs, etc). While assembling our metal outdoor table, they tightened the bolts too tight which made the support arms snap off all 4 corners. The $1200 table is now inoperable. The crew told me to contact the lady that handles furniture damages who would submit a claim through their insurance, then they quickly gathered their tools and left.
Unfortunately, the lady at Hill told me that they are not responsible for the damage. She said the crew should not have assembled any furniture and therefore and quot;this was not her problemand quot;. I read the terms on the agreement - the tiny writing on the back that is grey and difficult to read - there is nothing that says Hill is not responsible for this.
Please be cautious working with companies that do not take accountability for the outcome of their work.

Even though I say that I would use them in the future, I do have some concerns. My things were moved from Kitsap County (Poulsbo) WA to Lane County (Florence)OR. They were professional and on time. The driver seemed to really know his stuff. However, I did not like that my mattresses or flat screen were not wrapped in plastic or some sort of protection as well as the way things were loaded into the storage unit in Florence. They used local helpers here to load the storage unit and I would have liked to have seen more attention paid to the fragile items. I will be unloading the storage unit next week and moving the items to my home. I am really hoping nothing is damaged. They are a little pricey considering that I moved a two bedroom home with no appliances, sofa, and am just one person.

We had a military contract for moving with them. They were extremely professional in their appearance, presentation, and the manner in which they packed our things. They were very fast and nothing was damaged during the move. I would highly recommend them and use them again if I were still in the area. I would give an A++ for my overall experience if I could.

They are a family owned business and have been doing this for fifty years. I've never had anything lost or broken or anything. I would give them an A overall. The cost is very competitive as well. Here's an example, I have furniture in crates that I have in storage at Hill Moving. When I got estimates from other movers for storage, I have 12 crates, everyone told me $1,500 a month. Hill Moving is charging a lot less.

They are just the absolute best. They came in under their estimate. Their crews were really hardworking, courteous and great people to be around. They were very careful with our stuff and didn't lose anything. I would rate them highly. I would use them again in the future.

The estimate was around $3000 with the understanding that the more we packed the less it would cost. My husband took the week off and we packed 80% of our belongings. The box count of Hills packing was only 42, and we packed 100's of boxes, and yet in the end the price was higher than the estimate. It took them a long time to load the truck and the labor for that was very expensive. The movers were very good: clean, polite, quiet, and respectful. When the estimator visited our home he was told that the chandelier was the single most important thing and it would need to be boxed properly. The last thing packed was my hand blown glass chandelier and it was broken because the box was an inadequate size and a single man was trying to make it fit. I feel they really failed us with the chandelier.

They were professional, responsive and punctual. There was a small disagreement regarding the base of the washing machine that was broken but we sorted it out. I was satisfied with their service.

They arrived promptly and went right to work. They were fast! When it became clear that we had more contents than would fit in their truck, they called in an extra truck, with workers, so they could get the job done that day. Everything was well packed, and arrived at the destination unscathed.

2 VERY POLITE YOUNG MEN TOOK EXTRA CARE TO ENSURE THE SAFE DELIVERY OF OUR NEW PIANO. THEY MOVED IT SAFELY UP OUR FRONT STAIRCASE.
