 + -1 moreCould not be happier with the work and the finished product. This was a long and involved process that yielded a family heirloom. Artist was open to all creative input. Communication was good, despite only working via e-mail and general correspondence after the initial face to face contact. Project moved through phases of concept outline, design possibilities, shop and artist capabilities, materials and budget outlines. All of which was a fluid and engaged process. Final product exceeded expectations upon delivery and set up.
Description of Work: Design and custom build of an octagonal walnut poker table (pictures of project displayed on tinycannstudio.com). Project was a cooperative design process. Materials and construction methods were contracted to all be as exceptional as possible. Lumber was hand chosen and selected to offer matching grain and pattern through out the piece. Burl veneer was custom selected to serve as center playing surface. Design was incorporated to offer elegant look to a gaming table, and house custom chip trays. Chip trays were built to be removed and rotated over to hide the gaming surface, providing a dual use for the table as a dining or center piece table. Project work included engineering to develop complete structural support to the piece. All work was to heirloom quality.
