I couldn't be more impressed. Others had recommended Phil Sonne highly, and I found that they were right. Living in a small town, word gets around about who's good and who's not. My kitchen needed a re-do, right from the floor up, and he gave a good bid that came out pretty close to the final bill (he threw in some no-charge extras because he saw they needed fixing, pronto). He levelled the floor and installed flooring, replaced a door, removed old wall panelling and smoothed out the walls beautifuly, then painted, put in a furnace vent and finished things very professionally. During the work he was extremely considerate about scheduling, about noise and dust, cleaning up each day so I could use my kitchen without trouble. His business tagline is something like, "Caring for you and your home." Definitely lived up to that. His specialty is tile and countertops, and when I get the $$ he'll be hired for those. He was prompt, communicated well, solved problems to save me money, and was amazingly conscientious in his billing (did NOT mark-up materials, which I gather many contractors do). I'll definitely use him again. Oh, yeah, and when an unrelated emergency came up later he worked me in quickly -- whew! a real relief.
