ABSOLUTE CONCRETEWORKS

After looking at granite and other materials for countertops for our kitchen remodel, my wife suggested we look at concrete as she had been reading and hearing that new things were being done with concrete as a decorative material for countertops.  We heard of Absolute Concrete and traveled to Poulsbo and met with Steve and Tina at Absolute Concrete.  We were blown away with the beauty of the examples they had in their shop and display area and when asking about the strength and weight, Steve jumped up on his conference table at which we were sitting and stood on the one inch thick but very long table/top and we were convinced!  After that, we developed a design and submitted it.  They gave us a quote and we proceeded.  Later, after meeting with Tina in our home and knowing we were looking for more countertop space, she suggested a solution which we adopted, which resulted in a superior result.  Tina made some suggestions after talking with my wife, and they settled on adding some nice decorative touches as well. 
We are very happy with our all black countertops and the inserted decorative glass touches.  They are beautiful and the entire result is exactly what we wanted with the black contrasting with the stainless steel appliances.  The black backsplash that they frabricated for the job finished the appearance we wanted.  We have had many very positive and glowing remarks from our friends for the final result. 

Custom concrete fabrication in unique designs requires a commitment to the hightest quality, and the abilty to work with clients to design and fabricate this work.  We worked with the owners in designing (color, texture, shape, edge detail) kitchen countertops, a singular and massive custom fireplace mantel and hearth; and a unique and again custom table for a massive antique marble sink.  Because all three projects were individual and custom works, the completion required several months==a reasonable amount of time given the complexity and scope of these.   The team from Absolute helped us design these, guided us on what colors, shapes, and textures to use as well as overall design issues, and then went about making what we wanted.  The outcomes are absolutely superb in all three projects, installations that truly are showpieces in our home.  For anyone wanting this type of high-end custom concrete work--distinguished not only by its quality but as well by its artistic character--I highly recommend Absolute Concrete Works.
