I first contacted by phone, and left a message. He didn't return my call right away, which was okay at the time because it wasn't a pressing need. He did call me back the middle of the following week, and we discussed options for him coming out and doing an estimate. He arrived at the agreed upon time, took notes, talked it over, and left. Very nice and courteous. The estimate arrived when promised, a couple of days later. However, upon attempting to contact him to schedule, which I hold told him I'd want to do immediately, he was several days in responding, and then only said he'd be in touch to let me know the precise day. By that point, the need for painting services was pressing to put our house on the market. Two weeks went by without any indication from him of a start date, so I located another service. After another week, he finally contacted me by email to say he'd lost my phone number and needed it again. Too late.

We used Rock Solid for all our painting and sheetrocking needs for our new custom home. They were very professional and did an excellent job! Our millwork looks like satin! We highly recommend them!

As stated above, the guy was asked if he could give us an estimate on a drywall job in our bathroom and he turned us down saying that he wouldn't come out for such a small job. After hiring people in the past (before Angie's List) and getting burned we wanted to see how well the drywall job went and if it was a success and didn't scare us off we would have hired this guy to finish the bigger part of the bathroom job, install hardwood flooring in the bathroom, entryway, kitchen, and dining room, and do our big kitchen remodel project. Since we were turned down for the job being too small we would not hire this guy for the other projects coming up this year.

The work went extremely well. The owner came to the house within a day of calling to give me the estimate for the drywall. He was on time, courteous and charged his estimate. The owner called the night before to let me know when his crew would be at the house. The drywall crew, along with the owner were at the house on time, went through the house and got right to work. They were done with the first coat and gone within 3 hours. Very professional and courteous crew. The drywall crew came the next three days to finish the job and the owner called me the night before to let me know when the crew would be in. They cleaned up and left the job site in great condition. The owner came in each day to check the progress. The painting crew was just as professional. They came in and did all of the prep work on the areas to be painted, got right to work on the job and stayed each day until they were done. On the final day the paint supervisor walked me through the house for a final inspection, as did the owner. I added several paint color changes which the crew took in stride and the additional cost to the original estime was minimal. The crews were extremely professional and knowledgeable. I will definitely use them for future jobs around the house.

.I was very impressed with the painting. I was not as impressed with the sheet rock hanging.
