July 4th the first crack appeared. We called the contractor who stated it would be taken care of the following Monday. That appointment was cancelled by us, but we have been unable to get the contractor out since then. SInce the pour, it has been totally frustrating trying to get the project finished. We have had repeatedly left messages (at least 22) that have not been returned. There have been at least 11 appointments scheduled with no one showing up and no phone call. The contractor and his father did show up once to look at the crack. We were told the crack was caused by a decorative rock placed along the side of the walkway. A second opinion has informed us that not enough concrete was poured on that landing, and the crack occured during settling. Since the visit, another crack has appeared on another landing with no decorative rocks around the area. The steps to the driveway are irregular and unevenly sloped. The lighting has not been completed, with the styrofoam forms still in the face of the steps. We are totally frustrated!!! We just want the project completed and looking like it should for the amount of money invested. I am afraid that at best we will have a "repaired" look to our project.
Excellent!!!
