Blacklotus Landscaping is a commercial and residential landscape maintenance, installation and design company. From large homeowner associations and extensive commercial complexes to single family homes, we are dedicated to the service of local communities and the stewardship of the environment. It is essential for us to maintain a positive work culture where staff are encouraged to learn and excel in all aspects of their work and life. The whole project went great and we are so glad we had Blacklotus do the work. Alex and his team were knowledgeable, professional, experienced and very friendly. You could tell that they love their work. They fixed a long standing drainage problem we had and turned it into a point of interest. They had good ideas for the plantings and placements of plants. All projects that we have hired Black Lotus for have been completed in outstanding fashion. As retirees we do most of our landscaping maintenance ourselves but on large projects We call Black Lotus because of the depth of their knowledge and their professionalism and great communication.

This is the second time we've had them out. The crew arrived on time and got right to work. The pathways were really bad (the back part could almost be mowed) but they got them all cleared. They cleared out a LOT of mint and other weeds. They also cleared off the patio and trimmed back a lot of plants. Their first time out they also trimmed and shaped the spring bouquet, camellia, japanese maple and other trees.

Black Lotus Landscaping did an outstanding job with landscaping in our backyard for a very good price. They listened to our desires and then provided a selection of plants that exactly fit our needs. Everything in our yard was done in a day. They provided ideas as well, including some rocks/boulders that break up the area and make it look much nicer. Very professional and easy to work with and did a great job. Highly recommended.

Jon and his team did an excellent job helping my husband and I transform our front yard from a dead, overgrown mess to a low maintenance property value booster. We came to him saying we want something easy to care for but striking. We also needed to tear out an old, dangerously steep staircase and have a new one put in. And finally, we needed the massive layer of ivy covering our retaining wall removed. It was so thick that it had to be ripped out by an excavator. He came back to us with detailed plans that made his vision easy to picture and all services were priced competitively (including my favorite part, the stone slab staircase). I also appreciated that they specifically try and avoid planting invasive plants or overusing harsh chemicals. They were completely transparent throughout the whole install, making communication a breeze. Plus, the entire team seemed to enjoy being there, putting an energy into their work that was refreshing to see. Since the install, Black Lotus has been quick to respond to any questions or concerns I might have. I look forward to working with them when my backyard needs an update!

They took my absolutely neglected 1/3 of an acre yard and with the only instructions “make it like a forest floor that I don’t have to mow” they created a beautiful yard with trees, salal, ferns, grasses, and wood chips. They used madrona logs to build up beds. They completed a large raised bed bamboo planter. They used Japanese maples, rosemary, and blueberry plants I had and skillfully rearranged them. They suggested they grade and re gravel my drive. They ripped out 35 years of blackberry brambles. And they did not go one penny over my budget. My neighbors were amazed at how quickly they transformed my yard. My small dogs are delighted to run around and explore all the space they have without getting lost in the weeds. I am delighted to look out over it and plan to put a lawn swing out in the yard. I have a pretty bad knee and could not take care it it myself as it was, and had abandoned a couple of projects. They finished those and gave me a yard that is gorgeous and low maintenance, and a level drive so I don’t slide into my fence when it snows like I did last year. I highly recommend Black Lotus.

I wish all of the businesses I made large purchases with demonstrated the high level of service and integrity I received from Blacklotus when they landscaped my yard. My project involved an extensive amount of landscaping on a medium-small lot challenged by existing fencing, HOA restrictions and drainage issues in a newly constructed housing development. The installation included regrading, irrigation, and the addition of new topsoil, large & small rockery, pavers, and plantings (trees, shrubs & various grasses). The plan was executed in a timely and efficient manner. Excellent on-going communication was maintained throughout the project. Clean-up was provided after each days work. The finished results exceeded my expectations. My yard not only looks great; it functions far better as well.

"This review is very inaccurate and we would have appreciated knowing that something else was needed before we left your home. We hope that perhaps you could consider the feedback we were given by your husband before we left in which we thought the work was well liked as handed us each a tip. We were asked to come do 8 hrs of work and given a list by the husband when we showed up. We said we did not know they wanted fertilizer service and had not brought the proper product with us. The husband said that wasn't a problem and just asked us to complete as much work from the list as possible. We worked diligently detailing out beds, hedge trimming, weeding, spraying weeds, hand pruning, and hanging bird houses. We left the property very clean and the husband was so happy he tipped our entire crew $40 cash. This review does not reflect our company's high quality service."

I called them and they came out and did an estimate. I agreed to the cost and they showed up the next week. They did a very nice job cleaning up the yard and it lasted nice all winter. I had them weed the gravel areas and spray vegetation killer, mow the lawn, trim, weed and clean up flower beds, and put down week killer on lawn in both front and back. They cleaned up all the leaves. There was a team of about 4 of them and it took about 3-4 hours. Will try and use them again for my house that I live in for spring aeration.

The service was okay. There was a fence and under it was a wired fence, and the guy came out and cleaned out the middle part of the driveway, and he cleaned along the fence where there was no wire, and where there was wire, he did a little. He was a nice guy. It took him about 2 and half hours. The big deal was for one person for 4 hours, and he came and knocked on my door, and was still pleasant. He told me that he had found wire around the fence, and he tried going around it, but it had dolled it's weight on his weed eater thing, and it was going to cost $40 for an hour. He was leaving, and the work that he did was only 2 and half hours. If he would have asked me if I had more work, I would have said, but instead he tried to make me feel guilty about the $40. He drove up in a $70000 truck. He made me pay, but I told him that I didn't know about it. If he had approached it differently, I would have just said move this from here to there and go, but instead he tried to manipulate me. He didn't show me his equipment, he just told me that it had dulled his blade because he kept hitting the underlying fence. He is in a group that started this landscaping business, and a lot of people are going to go and take over the world landscaping one yard at a time. It's not that he didn't do good work during those hours. It wasn't awful, and I didn't get what I paid for, and the reason he gave me was that he had to take his steel plate back to where he came from to sharpen it. What he did, he did well, but he only did half of what he said he was going to do.

"We were given a verbal description of the work to be completed before the client left and worked hard during the amount of time we had to work within. Many of these smaller cleanup purchases require more time to perfectly service landscapes so we prioritize what the client wants and accomplish as much as we can before we have to stop due to time constraints. We feel that we did a good job and that more could only be done if more time was purchased."

We were prompt in leaving after our time was up and the client never asked us to do any further work for an additional fee which we would have been happy to complete as we were already there."
