Property Appraisal
In the Site section of the appraisal report where features of our house were listed, the appraiser incorrectly noted "Gas None? and ?Fuel Electric?. In actuality, we have natural gas heat and a natural gas hot water heater. I don't know how the appraiser missed this - he even included pictures in the appraisal report that showed (1) the side of our house with the gas meter, and (2) the inside of our garage with the gas piping.
I called the appraisal company on 3/14 after seeing this mistake in the report and asked them to correct it. A woman said she would leave a message for the appraiser and ask him to call me. He did not call me back. I called the company again almost two weeks later on 3/27. This time the lady said they can't change the appraisal unless the contracting company that hired them asks them to.
I think them missing the fact that we have natural gas, not returning my call, and then refusing to correct the mistake when I asked them to is sloppy, unprofessional behavior.
