 + -1 moreCancelled first meeting 10 minutes before our scheduled time after I drove an hour from work. Finally met and scheduled a time. Rob seemed knowledgeable and was very personable. The roof work was weather dependent and was cancelled. Two weeks later, I had to prompt him with an email and a voice mail to come out to work. First day replaced a square of shakes over the leaky area. The second day, put a support beam and some backets to support garage roof to the house. It was functional, but not pretty with the exposed stainless brackets. During the first rain, the leak moved up the roof about 5 feet to the edge of the repair. EBS solution was to offer a tarp for the roof until the spring when the roof could be replaced, but no working on his repair job. The estimate for replacing the roof was reasonable, but months away. Got a second opinion and estimate from a local company and contracted them to replace the entire roof. They noted that the repair work on the support to house beams was incorrect and the roof drained away from the gutters. They removed the previous repair and extended the roof to fill the gap.
Description of Work: I have an older cedar shake roof that had a leak in the garage and some rotted support beams to the house. EBS replaced some of the shakes over the leaky part of the garage and put some support brackets on the beams. The origianl estimate was to sister in some new beams, but this did not get done.
