Best Friends Pet Care Center

It went very well, and they showed more concern for the animal than my means, which living on the poverty level is not good.  What got to me at once, they were more concerned about the well being of the animal and my stress in dealing with him than they were their fees.  This is not common anymore.  I paid promptly and in full, and it was very reasonable for the high quality of service and technical ability.

I started using Best Friends Pet Care Center after my previous Vet refused to give me an appointment for an emergency situation because and quot;it would take too long.and quot; That was 6 weeks ago. This review is based on my visit with Best Friends today.
My cat had been sick for a long time, with multiple, non-cancerous cystic masses in her abdomen. Ultrasounds and biopsies were non-productive in diagnosing the illness. After losing massive amounts of weight, she started bleeding internally and exhibiting symptoms of pain. I had to make the painful decision to let her go. I called Best Friends this morning and they made room for me as soon as I got off work.
The entire staff was -- and always is -- very friendly and professional. But even more than that, today they showed a superior level of compassion. I was allowed to stay with my cat during the ordeal, letting her know that she was loved. When I looked up at the doctor after my cat was gone, she had tears in her eyes -- she was crying with me! I have never had a vet exhibit that kind of compassion before.
Since my cat's illness was a mystery to us all; and since I know my Veterinarian hates unsolved mysteries as much as I do, I gave my permission for her to do an autopsy in order to (hopefully) solve the mystery. Maybe it will help her help another ailing kitty someday. I was NOT charged for the autopsy, but the doctor promised to let me know the results.
I am totally impressed with everything about this clinic, and I highly recommend them to everyone looking for professional, friendly, compassionate veterinary care!

Very very positive outcome on this major operation... my little Beagle was ready to go home the same day late in the afternoon, no bleeding, a bit drowsy, but all OK ! More than a day has passed, and my little Beagle is doing just fine !
I was extremely happy with this Veterinarian not only because of the good job Dr Dowell did, but the STAFF she has is EXCELLENT - very very sweet compassionate ladies that seem very very honest in the compassion and love they gave my little Beagle companion - and, without me asking, and NO EXTRA CHARGE AT ALL, they cut her nails, cleaned her ears and gave her a flea treatment good for one month.
Their fees are very reasonable when compared to other Veterinarians in the area - some really try to maximize their fees by suggesting things like Acupuncture without even having seen the dog... if you are not Rich, you still feel WELCOME at Best Friends Pet Care!
I really TRUST this Veterinarian and her entire staff - I will definitely remain a loyal Customer. It is only FAIR that GOOD people need to be rewarded with our business - I cannot thank all at Best Friends enough for the wonderful compassionate job they have done on and for my little Steffi! THANK YOU !!!!
