irrigation systems
 + -1 moreI muddled through myself and read all the directions and was stopped cold by a water valve that was a propritory valve that only city PUD's use. When I called the city, of course they won't let me get one to use or even borrow because I could turn on and off water valves with out authorization. This begs the question of what is a provate contractor doing with a city's water key, but I suppose that's because it's a small town. Now after promissing to show us how to set it up in the summer and hurting my back dragging hoses around I got angry and called Nick on last time. He called back and said I was on my own. He didn't appreciated being bothered while he was working. I'd accept a description on the phone but it appears that's out. He doesn't return phone calls, he doesn't show up promptly, and he make promises he can't keep. He's got talent but he can't deliver. Jim Mahaffey 1652 Main Street Pomeroy,- WA
Description of Work: I bought this house from Nick and I have to say when he's on a project, he's first rate. When he's not your on the dark side of the moon. I'm not sure how catorgize this because he is a contractor/home owner who sold me the house and is using his services as a promise to help get the home sold. Nothing wrong with that in my mind but it was a promise. Truthfully, I wish I just went to a lawn service or even paid him for the service. It would have been easier. I have to tell you, Nick does extrordinary work. But he has this small problem about following up on things. For instance; when we closed he had to replace one malfuncitioning fire alarm. All he needed was three alarms with batteries to install he had at the shop. No problem the insurance did need an final inspection for month with my insurance company and I think he really did he had the parts. Five months later I was screaming on the phone to get them installed because the insurance company wanted the house inspected yesterday. His promises on other parts were equally bad. After the sale he wanted to show us how to run the sprinkler system and would show up to bring it up and down it. He showed us how to shut down the spinker system when it was winter in 2010. He then said he would show us how to start it when it got warm in 2011. Here it is late June, 80 degrtees in the shade and no Nick, I've tried phone calls, talked to friends and still no Nick.
