I am a cat foster volunteer for an animal rescue organization, "Adopt Shelter Animal Pets", and also for the Tri-Cities Animal Control and Shelter in Pasco, Washington.  These organizations have veterinary care agreements with multiple veterinary clinics in the Tri-Cities area, including nearby Benton City.

Because I foster cats for these organizations, I have utilizes services of these clinics on several occasions.

Columbia Animal Clinic is BY FAR the most inexpensive option in Tri-Cities.  They provide a full range of services and supported me, when I had to have one of my own cats euthanized.

I found the staff to be very professional.  They had the ability to deal with a wide range of emotional pet owners and emergencies, and focused on providing top service.

Most importantly to me is the ability to afford veterinary care.  Compared to other veterinary clinics in Tri-Cities, such as national corporate chain organizations, Columbia Animal Clinic is very affordable.

We had used this vet for about 10 years. The older man was who we always saw, but now he is starting to retire. So the people taking over or buying out are now doing most of the work there.

Our black lab (6 years old) started acting kind of funny, then her abdomen starting swelling up. We took her in for an office visit. The newer vet looked her over then wanted to do x-rays. So he took her back for the x-rays, then called us back. So we are standing in the x-ray room looking at the images and he tells us that she has liver cancer and there is nothing we can do. He gave us some pills to take the fluid off to make her more comfortable and let nature take its course. So we took her home and she was just getting worse. It was a Friday and the vet office was closed that day.

AT THE NEW VET

So on the recommendation of a friend we went to another vet in Pasco. We going to have her put to sleep that morning. The nurse had told the vet what was going on. They lead us in to a room and we where saying our goodbyes when the vet walked in. He looked her over and asked some questions. After about four questions he stated that he didn't think she had liver cancer. After some tests we found out that she had fluid on her heart and that was causing the swelling. NOT LIVER CANCER

We only had her 7 months after that but they where great times. We are very thankful that we saw a different vet.

He is retired and working part time. He is excellent. I can trust him with my animals. I get very good professional service with them. They upraise the animals and they are really there to help and to put the animal first. They are very very reasonable unlike most of the other veterinarians here in town.

Fine. I guess they sum up as a fine choice for those who are cost-conscious.
