It went very well and the repair man was very courteous and knowledgable. Again, it was a very windy day and I was afraid no one would be willing/able to get up on a ladder during such conditions. But they took care of it before it became a bigger problem and I am truly grateful. Also, they arrived within minutes of my initial phone call and that was very much appreciated. -- a big THANK YOU goes to the guys at Bi State!

had estimate May 8th I called June 26 to have work done.  I was told Daniel would call me. I called again the next day . I was told I was on the list. Its now July 1 . I have yet to hear from Daniel.
It turned out Dan was not getting message from the office like he should, I guess they had office staff issues. He did stop by and gutters where installed. he did a fantastic job. I am glad they are up as when it rains we would take a shower walking out our front door.
I have more work for Dan when my savings builds back up.

I do not know if they didn't want to bother with a small job or what.  I definitely got the run-around from them.  If they didn't want to do the work, why didn't they just say so?  Really shoddy business practices.

For the most part, the installation went well (slowly), but had one major problem. We were trying to set a start date for the installation of siding on our house (by a different contractor), so the fact that the fellow installing the windows [Dave] showed up intermittently was frustrating to our scheduling - especially when we found out that he didn't show up one day because he was out with his girl friend the night before! We assumed he was called on another job when he didn't show up! However, we just gritted our teeth and let it ride - we figured a reputable firm like Bi-State wouldn't keep someone like that on staff unless they did good work (they are BBB members). The windows finally got installed, and just as the siding was started, we got the "mother-of-all-rainstorms". We watched our skylight closely, and were pleasantly surprised to see it did not leak a drop. However, we did not notice for a day or two that our dining room window was leaking because we were working a lot of overtime and it was behind drapes. When we did discover the leakage, we called and let the owner know, and he said he would send the installer back out to fix the window. In the mean time, we had to hold the other contractor back from siding the outside wall containing that window. We never really knew if Dave really came out or not - we assumed that he did. However, the next rainstorm we had resulted in more leakage, and by this time our wall had started bulging out under the sill, and the sill split and started to peel. The other contractor was still waiting to finish the siding around the window, and I was pretty angry. I simultaneously wrote a letter to Bi-State (and the BBB) asking to have the window permanently fixed AND the damage to the wall inside my house fixed. The good news is that the owner, Dan Purington, called right away and came to assess the damage. He agreed that Bi-State was at fault and he oversaw the repair on the outside - and I am happy to say that it is finally water-tight. He also agreed to fix the interior wall at our convenience. We have not had that done yet - we are getting ready to paint the inside of our house, and we will get to that soon, but I was pleased with Dan's follow through. Bottom line - if you have windows installed by Bi-State, ask for an installer OTHER than Dave!
