Ten years ago I would have given Animal Hospital of Pasco six stars but now I can’t even give them one. I have been a customer for over thirty years, probably longer than any of the current staff have been working there. I remember when Dr. Hank Oliver was working out of a shed next to his house. My husband and I helped finance the current building. We have always paid our bills. (In fact, we were so reliable Dr. Oliver used to let us make payments back when we were living from paycheck to paycheck.) They now treat me like dirt. May 8th, 2021 I found a worm in my cats’ water dish. I scooped it into a medicine bottle to take to the vet so they could tell me if it was a parasite I should be concerned about. I called Monday morning several times but could not get through. This is normal. For years I would call a dozen times before I could get through only to hear “can I put you on hold” and put on hold before I could answer. Very often I would eventually hear a buzzing noise letting me know they had hung up on me. Okay, they are busy. But I figured they would just say “well, bring it in and drop it off.” So I took it down. There is a big sign there saying I must text them before I come in. I have a very old flip phone that works fine but can’t text. So I put on my mask and decided to just step in, hand them the bottle and run out. I had a sticker on the bottle with my name, phone number and all the information they needed. I tried to hand it to someone, but they were all too busy screaming at me. I kept trying to explain but they were too busy screaming. To be fair the youngest receptionist did try to listen to me over the screaming, so I handed her the bottle and left. I never heard from them. I’m assuming they threw it out along with all my records. They won’t let you accompany your frightened pet inside or even step in to hand them something. Now I understand this paranoia when the lockdown first started over a year ago and no one knew for sure what was going on, but we are now in Phase 3. I’ll wear the mask and if you want us to wait in the car because the waiting room is too small for people to be six feet apart, fine. But don’t punish me because I don’t own an expensive cell phone. I should have seen this coming. My cat Joey had mouth cancer two years ago and it had gotten so bad he couldn’t even eat canned food without screaming in pain. I made an appointment to have him put out of his misery. I was treated with no compassion like I was bothering them. Apparently I was just supposed to let my poor old cat lie there and die of starvation. Luckily I always tried to keep my old receipts. I went through them, deciding I needed a new vet and they would need this information. I discovered two of my cats were due for their Leukemia shots two months ago! Animal Hospital used to send out postcard reminders for shots, then emails. Now nothing. Fine, but they should have warned us not to depend on them anymore. So if you love your pets and think you deserve to be treated with any sort of respect, don’t go to Animal Hospital of Pasco. I’m a patient person but enough is enough. I made an appointment with Double Arrow Animal Clinic for my cats' late shots. They will let you go in with your fur baby and were very nice to me over the phone.

They kind of let us know that their teeth could become an issue and told us to kind of keep an eye on them. We did so and you could tell that the cats kind of were behaving like they used to. They weren't as happy, if you will. They were eating hard food at the time so we went in and had the teeth removed and switched them to soft food and stuff. They are back to acting like kittens again, you know?

They are getting old. We give them dental hygiene stuff. I guess one of them -- it is the breed of the cat that has issues. They are both purebred cats. We take great care with them. They are really, really good down there. I use them all the time. Their location is definitely convenient in terms of location for me. They are just down the road a little ways from us.

I go, probably, once a week and I have been going for 20-some odd years. They are a little bit more expensive because they have four or five vets in there. They are just amazing, the whole staff. The veterinarians are up to date on their schooling and they are just very knowledgeable. They are very kind to the animals and they are very kind to the customer who brings in the animals. They know you by name and learn which animals. I consider them friends and family; it is really hands on.

See above. Vet prices have gone up so high we are planning to get pet insurance when we get next pet. Will probably wait until he is 1-2 yrs. I'm happy technology is improving for our pets. Not too happy about increase of cost. I was raised on a farm, with old values, so you learn a few things on your own. My grandmother use to be the "vet" in a function, as the closest vet, was miles away. ( back woods of Arkansas) they did everything by the almanac and full moon cycle. There is some truth to those old days.

Very busy clinic. They have a senior discount that I discovered AFTER my visit and payment so be sure and ask, if you fall in that category. Did blood work quickly next day results and the x-ray on sight. Dr. "K." called the next day to ask about our dog and to personally deliver the blood test results. Since I just moved to the area, I am VERY happy to have a great new vet.

Great Experience. I have used this vet since they opened their doors and would not go anywhere else. This last incident was rough as we were leaving on a vacation in 2 days. The vet said not to worry that they would keep my dog and board him and that also gave him time to heal before we returned.
Very Satisfied!!! Great Service, Great Response Time...

I take my dogs to them all the time. Animal Hospital of Pasco is excellent. They're very caring and they're just so good. I've had 3 dogs and a cat and I take them all to her. They get me right in. When I called about my dog having pain, they got me right in that same day. I believe they offer emergency services.

Dr. Oliver of Animal Hospital of Pasco took good care of our animals. We love him. We brought our cat and dog to put to sleep and he did not charge us for that. He's loving and a great person.
