It was December 2013 and I just moved into my home that had been rented out for many years. The heat was not working, and it was so cold in the home. I called A-One and they immediately sent someone out to take a look at the heater. The gentleman indicated that it had damage done to the brain board and that he could replace it but it would be like a grand and there wasn't a guarantee that it was the only problem, since the unit was 17 years old. I asked what he recommended and he advised to replace the unit. Of course I didn't want to spend 10 grand, on a unit when there was no guarantee that we would keep this home in the future. He called his boss Kyle, who owns the company and he came out the following day to go over options with me.
I advised Kyle that I didn't have a lot of money and my husband is military as well, he isn't here and we aren't even sure we are keeping this place or selling it. He gave me a lot of different options and I settled on next to the cheapest of 6512 for the installation, A/C unit and heating unit, which comes with a 10 year guarantee and it can be used by future owners should we sell.
Kyle offered to bring in industrial heaters in the meantime as the unit had to be ordered and it would be a couple of days to get there. I declined the heaters and just got a few from Walmart to keep me and my dogs warm for the time being.
In a couple of days the crew showed up and they began work, they worked all day with no lunch break to install the heater. Finally I had heat! They came about a week later to install the A/C unit, as it was not a priority at the time.
After they installed the heater, the next day I went to get a shower and there was no hot water. I guess they turned off the pilot light to the water heater since the heater unit runs off gas as well and they had to connect to the lines. That was an inconvenience to have to wait till the water heated in order to shower but it was one I could deal with, at least I had heat.
Kyle was very professional and went above and beyond when I had questions or concerns. He worked with me on budget to get me the best product.
