Brian's response was prompt and he was flexible so he was able to do the inspection when we wanted it done. His inspection was very thorough and he found many things that needed fixing. His inspection results caused us to walk away from the purchase. We predicted that fixing the house would have cost us a lot of money, and thanks to Brian's careful and thorough inspection, the only money spent was the cost of the inspection itself. Well worth it!

Brian showed up on time and got right to work. He spent several hours on the actual inspection and his meticulous attention to detail resulted in a comprehensive report delivered within 24 hours, complete with great pictures that clearly showed the issues he found. I was impressed with his overall knowledge and how easy he was to understand when it came to explaining these issues (what likely caused them and general advice/suggestions on repair). I highly recommend Base Camp Home Inspection and would hire them again without any reservation.

I have dealt with several inspector in the past. Compared to them Brian is the best home inspector I have ever worked with. His integrity and attention to detailed are the most vital part of service that I got from him. He went through with me on every single finding that I need to know. Not only that he pointed out the findings, he also provided me possible solutions. In my previous home purchases, I dont remember any of my inspector went up to the roof to inspect roof and gutter. But Brian took extra steps to climb up to the roof and inspect everything. In the past, I have been switching inspectors on my home purchases. But this time, I have found the best inspector and I will stick with him on any future home purchase and I highly recommend Brian to any home buyers who are looking for honest, detail, and professional home inspection.

Brian will arrive early to perform the exterior inspection. By the time we got there, Brian was in his routine, getting in all the places you wish you could get into but never do. Any concealed space, interior/exterior, he was in it. He displayed a vast knowledge of his profession and you can tell he enjoys his work. As I stated earlier, Brian SAVED us from buying another home where he found underlining issues and we fully trust his work and opinion. Our inspection went great. The minor issues he found were well documented and photographed. Once we presented the inspection to the buyers, they accepted based on how well the inspection report was written. I scheduled Brian with limited notice and he was very understanding of our situation. He was there before us and greeted us very warmly. I cannot express how glad I am we chose Brian with Base Camp Home Inspections as our inspector. I was told by my agent that a typical inspection would take about 1-2 hours but Brian spent over 3 hours, took countless pictures (of both good things and bad), and examined nearly every inch of the house and surrounding property. He pointed out in his report so many things I never would have even considered and really explained what the issues, or potential issues, could lead to. It went very well he's very easy to work with answering my call late at night as my schedule doesn't allow me to really make phone calls during the day when I'm busy very punctual very professional. Ran me through everything that he looked at things that might be a problem in the future but not right now just kind a little things he showed me that might have to do be done in the future, very great work. The inspection couldn't have gone better As a home buyer, the inspection and the inspector help instill trust that you are (or aren't) making the right decision. We felt we could trust the inspection and it helped us feel good about our decision. Everything was well documented and explained and the report was professional a 42nd timely. I have already suggested this service to a colleague.

We recently put our house up for sale but before doing so decided to get a home inspection from Base Camp so we could be made aware of any repairs that may need to happen to expect our home to sell quickly. 

I called Base Camp because they are a family owned and military friendly business. They give a discount to military families, which in my book is huge. 

Brian, one of the owners, came out to do the inspection. He was able to schedule us within a few days of our calling and even around our kiddo's nap time. He was very thorough and despite the fact that we were home when he was here, I hardly noticed him being here at all. Also great was that he explained things to us once the report was written, as there were some items/terms on the report we were unfamiliar with personally. the written report even had pictures he had taken and added so we could see exactly what certain problem areas looked like which i had never seen a company do before. that would've been really helpful in a report when we were first time home buyers!

we certainly had a much better experience with Base Camp than we did this week when a potential buyer sent their inspectors out, but i'll leave those comments for a separate review! 
all in all, i would (and already have) recommend Brian and Base Camp to anyone in the greater Puyallup/Tacoma area.

High recommend if you are looking for a home inspector. He was so nice and explained everything in a manor that was easy to understand. The finish report was delivered the next day even though it was a weekend. He was able to get us in quickly and was fairly priced based on what we had seen from other inspectors we had connected. As first time buyers, we were nervous about the home inspection. But he made it a great experience and we left feeling confident in the findings and the job he did.

Overall the quality, responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism were excellent.

He was so patient with me, taking the time to explain all of the things I needed to be aware of and making sure that I really understood what he was telling me. Very punctual and professional.  Brian inspected a home we are purchasing as well as several outbuildings.  He had a very thorough inspection and was very respectful.  My husband is disabled and he took the time to walk us through every part of the home & outbuildings explaining what he found, as well as recommended maintenance.  He filed a report promptly, which helped with our home negotiation.  Found a few issues that saved us money as we could outline the issue to the seller and negotiate fixes prior to final agreement on our purchase.  We would use him again and recommend to our family and friends.
