THE OTHER GUYS INC

I sent an email via Angies List to The Other Guys Inc and never received a reply. Left a message on their answering machine too and never got a response.

Craig the technician ran a battery of tests and kept the computer on overnight. Except for removal of some minor malware, the computer itself and Windows checked out all right. Craig suggested that the problem might be a faulty monitor or other piece of hardware hooked up in my system. I had my computer back home in 24 hours, and decided to purchase a new, bigger screen monitor. Bingo! Craig was right, the old monitor was the culprit and I no longer have the problem with shutdowns. I would definitely go back to The Other Guys to address computer issues in the future.

While I was in the shop, Craig mentioned that he is losing his lease on the downtown Olympia location and that The Other Guys will be relocating to a new location on Martin Way in June 2014.

My computer had been giving me signs it wasn't too healthy (it was never quite right since it was rebuilt about a year ago)...including the "blue screen of death" which prompted me to bite the bullet and find a company who could fix the thing. So, I took it into "The Other Guys, Inc". (I got the name from Angie's LIst Local Research data base.) and they were able to look at it the next day...believe me when I say that compared to other people who have worked on it since I moved to this state, that is quick. So they did the diagnostics, and transfered the data onto a brand new hard drive, along with some extra anti-spy and anti-ad ware. They even carried it out to my car when it was finished the next day! (took a total of 2 days to get it back) They were very professional and explained what they did...and again b/c I want to make sure I understand fully. They said that If I needed any help or had questions, etc, I could call, oridinalry it's what you would expect, but it sure was better then previous service. The price was right about were It was supposed to be. The service went very well, they called when they were supposed to and I got my computer back in a reasonable about of time. I will definately use them again...I'm so glad they are right here in town, too!

THEY TOLD ME THAT THE COMPUTER WAS DEAD, THEN RETRIEVED INFORMATION FROM THE HARD DRIVE. IT WAS FINE. I AM NOT TERRIBLY ENTHUSED ABOUT IT. THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL.
