Sewing Machine Repair
Yes, I recommend this pro
I bought a barely used 2007 Singer sewing machine cheap at a garage sale.  It was a deluxe model.   I was told by the seller it needed alignment.   I confirmed that, it would not stitch, and no adjustments I tried made it work.  I took it to South Sound Sewing to get an estimate on repairing it.  Their service department evaluated it.  Spent a fair amount of time and effort.  They told me it would cost about $130 to fix it, but advised that they didn't think the machine was worth that much.  It seems the Singer Sewing Machine Company has changed ownership many times since the 1970's and quality is not what it used to be.   They did not charge me anything to evaluate it.  They are very pleasant, helpful business people.  I'd feel very comfortable buying a sewing machine from them, or taking a machine or vacuum cleaner to them for repairs again.
