Just before Christmas were experiencing issues with our electrical appliances and needed an electrician to help identify the problem.
Mike from 'South Sound Electrical' offered to swing by our place at the end of his day and see what he could do.
He quickly identified the issue to a short in our main electrical box and had it fixed that evening.
SERVICE 2
The electrical box needed replacing (we had many electricians tell us that over the years) so we got 2 bids to do the work.
Mike's bid was very competitive and I knew that he did good work so we went with him.
We were very pleased with his workmanship and the box that he installed.
ASSESSMENT
His final bill did not exceed his initial quote.
The electrical inspector noted that the electrical box was one of the best on the market.
Overall he did good job.
I would hire him again - and recommend him to anyone looking for an electrician.
The first time we used SSE, in April 2012, Mike did a major rewire job on our old house. He separated the washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, kitchen outlets, kitchen lights, and laundry outlets--all of which were on one circuit--into separate circuits. He also added undercabinet lights and two exterior outlets. To do this, he had to get under our 1924 cottage, with its four separate crawl spaces, and drill through two foundation walls to run the wire. It was amazing!
The second time, in September 2013, we had moved to a new house that had some unusual wiring. A fuse box needed to be replaced with a breaker box. We couldn't figure out how to turn on the outside and landscape lights. The kitchen sink had a tiny fuse box underneath it, presumably for when the dishwasher was originally installed in 1950. It all needed updating, and it was important to us to preserve the look and feel of the house as much as possible. Mike and his crew first spent more than an hour figuring out how the house was wired and mapped all the circuits for us. Then they did all the other work, cleaned up, and walked us through the changes. They were done in about five hours, and as usual the price was reasonable.
I highly recommend South Sound Electrical. They get booked up, but it's worth the wait!
