Pruningman

He was very knowledgeable about how to keep a tree alive and not take too much and prune it appropriately. He did a fine job. He pruned some other trees while he was here and some bamboo stands. I will probably have him come back later in the spring to do more work. He was very good. He was very punctual and professional. He loves trees so he doesn't injure any of them. He won't do something unless it is going to keep the tree living.

Mike was prompt in giving me an estimate and a detailed explanation of the condition of the trees and my options. He provided the service earlier and for less money than he had estimated. I am not an expert in tree pruning, but he did a great job. The trees look great and he had some helpful suggestions about how to care for them. I would definitely use him again.

When I called Mike, he came by the house the same day for an estimate. A couple weeks passed before I called to schedule an appointment. He was punctual on the date we set up and got right to it. One of the things he had told me was if I wanted to save money, I could be the one to clean up the debris and take it to the dump--otherwise I'd continue to pay for his time during the clean-up and a fee for a run to the dump. I cleaned up the debris myself and it was only because of this we finished within the estimated time-frame he gave in the estimate. Without this, he'd probably have gone over by an 30-60 minutes. Mike is very friendly and while I was helping him, he stopped to take time to answer questions I had. He also took time to get himself a snack--this mind you I thought was completely acceptable during the nearly 5 hours of work; he didn't doddle, just a more-than-reasonable break. My reason for sharing is, if money is tight, you might not want to ask many questions or be much of a conversationalist. Overall, Mike did a great job, was very knowledgeable about his craft and seemed genuinely concerned about providing a quality service. And a nice guy to boot.

Very well. It was done professionally and with care. Mike is an artist. I could have paid far less if I'd only wanted things topped or rounded into b**** but that was not my goal. Mike was the only person I found on Angie's List who seemed geared to what I wanted: a professional pruning for several large trees and shrubs. All others had left the field or seemed more attuned to tree removal or topping. He responded to my phone call promptly, asked appropriate questions and arranged for a date to visit for a bid or to perform the work.

Mike came by to look at my yard to provide an estimate and then was very responsive in scheduling a time to do the work a few weeks later. He is very pleasant, helpful and thorough.

I was happy with Mike's work. He came for an estimate the same day I called. He then came back a few days' later to do the work. Mike seems very knowledgeable and his prices are very reasonable.

Mike has an excellent knowledge of growth and pruning of trees and shrubs. He worked with me to get the best of what I wanted. He gets the job done, cleans up all of the debris, and hauls it away. His estimate of the time involved was very accurate, thus providing a good idea of cost. If pruning is the only landscape issue required, Mike is an excellent choice.
