Pacific does not service hydronic heating systems, so they were no help to us. They did, however, call me back within minutes after I left a message around 11pm on a Sunday night, so they get kudos for the having the fastest response time of any of the contractors we called.

I will NEVER do business with this company again! I paid over $1400 a year ago to have this company come out and thoroughly inspect and fix everything with my furnace. It seems the furnace had been hooked up the wrong way when the house was built. Pacific Air was supposed to re-hook it properly, do a thorough maintenance, and fix ANY problems related to the furnace. Again, I paid OVER $1400 to have this done. Just one year later, I had a different HVAC company come out to clean and service the furnace and they found a roll of duct tape just sitting in the furnace and then they found there was insulation in the duct work. The other company wants to charge a lot of money to remove the insulation. I contacted Pacific Air since I had just paid them over $1400 to fix EVERYTHING with the furnace and since the insulation was in the duct work, obviously, they did not fix everything. A Pacific Air tech came out and took a look at it and the insulation is right there in the duct work right where the furnace meets the ceiling in the garage. And the tech even said, "All they had to do was push it aside". I spoke with Mike and he said that they will charge me to come out and fix it AND he will not even give me a price that he will charge!!! First of all, they did shoddy work (leaving a roll of duct tape just lying in the furnace), AND I paid them to fix EVERYTHING with the furnace. All Mike said was, "well that tech is no longer working for us". So this tech's mess up is my problem and I have to pay for it? I will NEVER do business with this company again. EVEN if they did not cause the insulation to move into the duct work, they should have caught it during the servicing of the furnace - I mean it is RIGHT there where the furnace meets the garage ceiling. And now, THEY WILL NOT EVEN GIVE ME A PRICE of how much they would charge me to come out and fix what was their mistake (overlooking an obvious obstruction of insulation). I am beyond angry that I spent OVER $1400 with this company and they did such a poor job. Now I will have to pay yet another company to fix it right. Such poor work and such poor customer service!!!!

I had recently moved into a new residence. It was winter. I was under stress from dealing with other home problems undisclosed by the seller. The electric bills were way too high and the electric utility agreed. I called Pacific Air Heating, who the previous owner had used to service the heat pump. A tech was scheduled for 2-3 weeks later, and arrived promptly on the scheduled date.
The tech said a part of the heat pump was not working and needed to be replaced. In order to proceed, I had to select from a menu of sales options. Just get it fixed (he emphasized there would not be a warranty), get it fix and have a service, get it fixed, have a service and prepay for future service, etc. I was left with the impression that if I chose just to get the part replaced, I was going to have problems - so from my perspective it was a pressure sales tactic. I ended up paying $500 for getting the part replaced and a service (which appeared to take just a minute or two - and left me with more doubts about this company), and a 1year warranty (I'm not clear on what exactly). The tech also told the company could do a free energy audit.
The owner of the business, Jim, was scheduled to do the energy audit - about a month later. He showed up timely and was very pleasant. However there has been virtually no follow up. I was supposed to get a report. He said it might take a couple of weeks. We'll --- two months later and I've never received a full report, or proposed costs. I've called the company many times, and all I received was a short list of things I might want to consider doing.
So, in summary: I would not recommend this company due to questionable sales practices (I feel ripped off) and incredibly poor communication.

Made the appointment just a few days out (for a non-emergency). They called ahead. Arrived on time. Investigated the reported problem. Determined the status and allowed us to convert the service call to a preventive maintenance call. Saved us time and money. They made the extra effort to check schedules to do both jobs at once rather than scheduling us several weeks out for preventive maintenance. Good experience.

We were without heat one cold spring day. Pacific Air promptly responded, diagnosed the problem correctly, and installed a new inducer. Being an engineer, my husband watched the installation. The technician was on time, friendly, and competent. He explained how the inducer worked. I liked the fact that Pacific Air returned phone calls promptly, and keep their appointments. I checked online for the price of the part they replaced, and found their charge was quite reasonable. I feel they are a trustworthy company. It was a far better experience than we have had with other heating and air conditioning companies.

Wonderful. The technician gave me a courtesy call when he was on his way to my home so I could leave work then and meet him there instead of having to sit around just waiting. On top of that, he arrived almost on the dot of the originally scheduled appointment time. This kind of extra customer service definitely made taking off from work for a long lunch much easier than having to be out of the office half the day. The technician was extremely polite and professional. I would definitely use this company again.
