Home Building
We discovered black flowers growing in the laundry room and later determined that mold had penetrated the sheet rock. The sheet rock was replaced after a environmental specialist tested (we have never seen the results.) Oakwood sent a crew from the Albany, OR location to do other repairs on the home. After 3 weeks they disappeared, and we discovered that the countertop and sink were missing and there was vandalism on the rec room wall. Other things that have not been done include, but are not limited to interior painting, filling in marriage joints in the floor, installation of the kitchen island, and carpet installation. We have been in constant contact with Oakwood Homes to try to speed up the process. We are currently living in an apartment at our expense, and other projects involving the home have been delayed. Because of the numerous problems we have already encountered, I am enormously concerned with the state of the rest of the home.
