This is how a contractor should function. They use quality products, are punctual, professional and very good at keeping one informed. We did this during the wettest winter in years so were delayed several times for weather. We were kept well informed throughout and the work is top notch. They even came out and took care of a couple of leaking areas several months before they started to get us through, no charge. I would not hesitate to use them again and in fact plan to do so for future window work.
Description of Work: We had a roof with original 1980's cedar shakes on lathing. This was replaced with new sheathing and high quality asphalt shingles.

Gary the sales guy was very good. He was knowledgeable, prompt, and professional. I felt that he had a lot of experience and knowledge and would have felt very comfortable hiring them. I got 8 bids for my 4000 sq. foot home with a very steep (12/12) pitch roof with 50 squares of roofing material. They came in 7th as far as pricing. I paid about $30k and they were $50k. Some companies aren't very competitive with steep pitch roofs so maybe that is why their bid was so high. I'm not really sure.

Well, we have new siding. A few small cracks here and there, but nothing too bad. The biggest problem was the mostly non-english speaking tear-off and installation crew. The tear-off was done without due care and caution. They tried to tear off our through-the-wall kitchen fan without even contacting us. I was in the house at the time. I also suspect the siding was installed over some mold on the south wall. I'm smelling some mildew upstairs. Finally, the crew had to reorder and reinstall part of the siding because they didn't follow the directions given by the salesman. There was a wait for that to occur. I really think the crew needed much more supervision. I understand that the person who was supposed to be doing this was ill for much of this period, but the company should have done a better job. I did receive a little compensation for the problems, but it was just a few months payments (3?) on the loan we took out to pay for the work. This has been bothering me for 2 years. I finally felt I needed to comment. Hopefully Northern Pacific is not still using the same crew.

Northern Pacific Exteriors is an excellent company that strives to fully satisfy without pushy salesman. This was the only company that truly listened to my desires and made sure to explain all possible options and limitations while maintaining constant project updates. They have a trustworthy, courteous and hardworking group of carpenters. The end was everything and more than I was hoping for. While they were not the cheapest pricewise, the cost is worth the quality. You made me & my family very happy and proud of our new siding.

The men were courteous and professional. The clean up was particularly impressive-the yard looked better when they were finished! It's so nice to have our roof up to code, leak free and to hear the water running in the new gutters. They did a great job!

Northern Pacific Exterior’s re-do of our home’s exterior was a great construction project experience. Everyone from sales, office staff and construction crew were examples of professionalism and the product was high quality. The construction crew was always on time and it was clear they took pride in the craftsmanship of their work in a cheerful, positive way (regardless of the weather). The office staff checked with us daily to address any questions or issues we might have. We now have a top quality product, well done, a beautiful home exterior for us to enjoy. Thanks!

From beginning to end, Northern Pacific offered top quality service. They kept me apprised of approximate date for project to begin. Just before the project started, they contacted me to let me know when materials, etc would be delivered. I was contacted each day of the project to see if I had questions or concerns. Cleanup was excellent. Roof was finished in 3 days. A week or so later, they sent out someone to inspect the roof to make sure it was done properly. They were prompt in submitting their paper work at the close of the project. I am quite impressed overall. I only wish they had been able to do the project sooner. I would hire them again.

I have a 2-story home with a daylight basement. The south side of the home is 3 stories from the ground up. Scope of work: replace existing siding and wrap. Replace existing window framing and frame unframed windows and doors. Replace all fascia, gutters and replace 1-aluminum garden window with a white vinyl window that matched all the other windows on the house. I went with the James Hardie products: HARDIEWRAP® Weather Barrier, HardiePlank® Lap Siding Select Cedarmill in the color Aged Pewter, and the HARDIETRIM® BOARDS and HARDIESOFFIT® PANELS in Artic White. Only 4 windows had framing (2 North facing & 2 East facing). The 2 sliders and 10 windows facing south & west were not framed at all. None of the windows, sliding doors and original siding butt joints were flashed. The house was wrapped in tar paper. Northern Pacific Exteriors arranged for a dumpster and a porta-potty that arrived on day one. Each and every day the crew showed up on time despite freezing temperatures and pouring rain. The crew was professional, courteous and personable. Brian was the Lead on the job. This guy is a rock-star and it soon became apparent that he and his crew were highly experienced. Brian answered all my questions as the job went along. Amber was my Customer Support contact. Customer Support called me every afternoon after the job started to see if I had any questions or concerns. This company is seriously customer service oriented! The south side of the house had the most transformation. Sections of the existing siding was popping and bowing. I had butt joint gaps in excess of ½” in some areas. The bowed area was a concern. After the siding was torn off, the OSB board was in-tack and had no visible signs of rot, so Brian had the bowed section of the OSB board cut out. Turns out the builder had installed a seriously bowed vertical 2x4 under the window and just sided over it! Brian and his crew were meticulous … they resolved every issue and thoroughly taped every seam in the Hardiewrap, flashed and flash taped every window and door and flashed every butt joint. Brian removed an original aluminum garden window with a new white vinyl window on a bump-out section on the south side of the house. The front of the bump-out had to be re-framed including the small overhang. The end result was beyond my expectation. What a transformation! Not only does my house look AMAZING, more importantly, I know it was a stellar installation that gives me peace of mind … I guess the 30 year transferable warranty is a plus. I am a very happy camper. Northern Pacific Exteriors is the only construction company I would consider using for anything relating to roofing, windows, siding and gutters. If they only did bathrooms!
Description of Work: This is my second job with Northern Pacific Exteriors. Several years ago, they installed a metal roof on my old house and they did such an outstanding job on the roof, I went back this time with a siding job on a house I bought a few years ago. This siding job began on 01-09-2017 and ended on 01-30-2017. They also replaced all gutters and 1 window.

The job was started on time and completed in a timely manner. The workers were here every day as scheduled and only missed two days due to inclement weather (snow - where it was too dangerous to drive). The workers were courteous and respectful. We are very pleased with the quality of the work performed. We would recommend Northern Pacific Exteriors to anyone in need of roofing, siding, or gutters.

Everything is great. Northern Pacific Exteriors is the to give me an estimated on my roofing project. They professional and honest. They priced me on 3 style of different shingles. Landmark Bronze $8,483.00. Land Pro silver $9,483.00. Northgate Gold Rubberized shingles 5 stars warranty $13,000.00. The Northgate Gold come with 25 years workmanship warranty and a 50 years by CertainTeed manufacturer warranty. I also have 4 other contractors give me an estimated. None come close. And 3 of the 4 contractors pressured me to Buy from the. I highly recommended Northern Pacific Exteriors to any body. My brother and my neighbors are having them do their roofing projects this spring and summer of 2017. I would like shout out to Northern Pacific Exteriors Company and the crews who's did my roofing that greatly works they done. Hope they don't forget about the $200 dollars referral gifts. Thank you Northern Pacific Exteriors.

After receiving bids from four different contractors and asking friends and neighbors, I decided to go with Pacific Northwest Exteriors. Their bid was five grand more than the cheapest bid I'd received, but I was able to walk on their product in order to clean it, whereas the cheapest bid used a roofing product that would require me to hire the contractor for roof cleaning in order to retain the warranty. The salesman who came out was professional in his bidding process and attempted to complete a thorough inspection prior to offering a bid. The bid was higher than I'd like, but cheaper than the bid given by Harley Exterior (that experience is a whole other story that wasn't good), and given in a more professional manner. Based on the material that was presented, the reviews I'd previously read on Angie's List, and the first impression I received from the salesmen I decided to go with this contractor. The one thing I stressed to the salesman was to include at least half of the deck needing replacement in to the bid because I'd been through areas of the attic that I could access and knew the decking had mold and was soft, despite his assumptions that all of the decking looked good. He merely looked in to the attic though instead of crawling through and thoroughly inspecting it, so this was one thing I wanted in the bid. The job took six days to complete. On the first day I arrived during lunch and before leaving to go back to work I had them pull up a few sheets of decking to inspect areas I hadn't been able to get to as well as areas that I knew were trouble. What they found stopped any further work for the day and ended up requiring every piece of deck on the upper story to be replaced ($3000 total but I had $1500 included in the original estimate for half of the decking). The following day the lead installer came out and spent the day inspecting the roof and going over options with me. During that time we discussed moving the skylight. The original bid didn't mention anything about the skylight's placement, or moving it, or having to pay an extra $300 bucks for an off-size window. The lead installer explained the issue was with the skylight's placement being too close to a valley. In the end, the off-size window had already been made so I couldn't cancel the order for a cheaper, nominal sized window or delete the skylight completely. I was stuck with a skylight I had to pay extra for, that wasn't in the original bid, and then had to move the skylight; requiring a new tunnel, texture, and paint. The one bright side is that the lead installer, though only there for a day, was very professional and helpful. I'm sure I annoyed the daylights out of him with my questions but he never let it show. Unfortunately, he was only there for one day, and the skylight that needed to be moved was installed in a location that I wasn't happy with and not in the area we'd discussed. Of course, he wasn't there to oversee the remainder of the roof installation, so the guy who was installing it simply said " I asked and he said the rafter was marked with an 'X'." This was true, however, three different areas were marked with an 'X' and I told him I wanted it as low in the valley as possible. The area he marked out with me to install the window was not where it ended up. The guy installing the window said it was too late to move and would require additional cost if I wanted it moved elsewhere. Overall, the roof came out very nice and looks great. The new gutters look good, the roof shingles look sharp, and the overall project transformed the look of the house. The cricket that was installed works well and the flashing looks very professional. My only concern is with the price. Paying so much for a product that should have cost $18000 according to the insurance adjuster, should have been pulled off without any issues at all. The fact that I had to speak through a translator to the senior installer of the three man team was frustrating as well. The fact that the senior installer stopped work for an entire day to wait for the lead installer to show up and work with them the following day was disheartening and not what I expected. The added cost of replacing decking when I was told I wouldn't need any of the added decking I requested be placed in the bid was a shock. Last but not least, I've only received calls following the roof's installation pertained to final payment. I've repeatedly asked for pictures that were taken during the roof's installation, pictures that I was informed would be provided following the project's finish, and I'm still waiting two months later. Overall, I'm not sure what's changed about the company but I am having a hard time trusting Angie's List for future projects. I expected a top notch company, especially when the price is considered, and my expectations fell short. Don't get me wrong, the final product does look great and there aren't any issues that I've found with the installation so far, but I expected 100 percent satisfaction. Perhaps after this review I'll finally get pictures of the installation. I'm hoping they haven't been deleted already and that's why I haven't heard back from them. I'd like to have them to show future buyers. I will try using a different web service and word of mouth for my upcoming A/C installation.

As we neared the projected date for the project, Amber called us several times depending on any weather changes and finally gave us assurance that all looked well to start our project on the following Monday, Nov 7th. She had arranged to have waste container and portable facilities delivered and in place for the workers. The waste container was delivered, and she confirmed that with me. The portable toilet had not been delivered so she set to work to ensure that happened. She was successful, and it was delivered before the workers arrived. The crew of four showed up on time, even though it was raining. They began getting themselves ready to do the prep work. Luckily, the rain stooped as forecast, and they were able to start removing the shake roof without much delay. They never stopped working all three day except for their lunch break. They were always prompt in returning from their lunch time and were back at work until the shortened days caused darkness to set in. They completely removed their tarp covers everyday, picked up all the loose shakes and whatever else had fallen. I was impressed with this work and, especially, that they served diligently with their magnets to ensure no metal nails or staples were left on the ground. Roberto and his crew answered my questions pleasantly and professionally and did not seem irritated when I interrupted to check on something or just ask a general question. When they completed the project, you would not have known they had been there except that I now had a new, quality roof on my house. They were a top-notch crew. Amber called me everyday after the work day was completed just to check to see how I felt they were doing. She would advise me of how they felt the job was proceeding and how far along they were. I really appreciated her conscientiousness in making these calls to check on things. It was proceeding just as Caleb had briefed us it would. Once the work was completed and Abel came back for his final inspection and briefed me on what he would be doing in the future. I am having a partial chimney replacement so he assured me he would come to inspect the roof around the chimney once I had that work completed. That was a good news for me so I thanked him for that. Work was completed on November 9th, 2016. Amber must have coordinated to have the green waste container removed as well as the portable toilet because they just disappeared. I also spoke with Amber about when the gutters and downspouts might be installed. She informed me it would probably be about two weeks but that she would try to get it moved up. She was able to do this so we got those installed about a week earlier than originally planned. Thanks again to Amber. She arranged for the Owner's inspection as part of her final work so we are looking forward to that so we can close this chapter.
Description of Work: We had a 38 year old shake roof that needed to replaced. We contacted four different contractors from Angie's List and felt that any of them would have done a good job. We chose Northern Pacific because we felt their work would be in the superior category. Our first contact was with Caleb. He gave a complete walk-through in the roofing process and told us that NP would coordinate every step of the way with us and make changes to meet our requirements. With this explanation, he answered our questions on grade, color, quality, and so on. We signed on in August, knowing that their work schedule would lead us into late October. We needed to have some other work done so that fit our schedule just fine. We selected our roofing materials and felt we were all set. I, however, ran into an issue with my Home Owners' Association requirements for color so we had to change our color but not the type or grade.. Caleb contacted the company and got this changed without difficulty so were set again. Rain in October put NP a little later so we were moved into early November when the weather was projected to be adequate for the roofing process. Amber from the office kept us apprised along the way of schedule slippage and other things along the way. She was a lot of help in ensuring our change in the roofing materials was made and confirmed that change for us. She let us know that Abel the project manager, would be out to do a pre-inspection. We met Abel, and he was very thorough in his inspection and answered our questions to our satisfaction. He was very courteous and professional and gave us a lot of confidence that we had made a good choice in NP.

Phone calls were answered promptly and appointment scheduled. Estimator was prompt and professional. The estimate only took about 40 minutes. After reviewing the estimate, I was surprised at the cost. Based on other estimates, they were at least 4K higher on their lowest starting package, and 8K for their top of the line package compared to other estimates using the same product/services. I cannot give any comments on workmanship as I didn't use them due to the cost. If they were competitive I would have considered them.

We hired Northern Pacific Exteriors to replace our roof and we were very satisfied with their workmanship and excellent customer service. They even helped us with trimming up our shed shingles, caulking the skylight in the shed and put Moss Out on the edge for us at no extra cost. This is a quality company who can be trusted.

Quality. Professional installation. This is what you get when you entrust Northern Pacific exteriors for your re-siding project. When you meet Mark Waggoner and Michael Rogers, your business meeting is low-key. Their easy manner imparts a comfortable atmosphere and their knowledge of James Hardie Color+ siding, which they are very willing to share with you as you ask your numerous questions about the product and installation, gives you the confidence that you want Northern Pacific exteriors to do the job. The crew I was assigned showed up everyday on time. They were courteous, respectful of my property and neighbors and Jose would always take the time to answer my questions. Amber from the local home office called at the end of each day to give me a progress report and to ask if I had any questions or concerns. If I did, they were always addressed by the next business day. My house is beautiful! Neighbors stop to chat about it and it's better than a speed bump for slowing the traffic down as some vehicles creep by to get a nice long look at it! Thank you, Northern Pacific exteriors for a job well done.

EXCELLENT The best service we could have asked for. The crew on time, professional, neat and informative. Daily follow up on each phase. We liked the fact we had the same crew each day. Neighbors stopped commented on the work an of course we are so proud looks like a new home. We had 4 bids this was not the lowest but worth it. The crew and office support the best.
