Mckinney's Appliance Center Inc, Sales & Service

We chose to go to McKinney's Appliance on Martin Way in Lacey. They are associated with the store on Black Lake in Olympia. Our review is for the Lacey store. Their parts department had been helpful with a prior issue on our built-in oven. Dick Johns was our salesman. He was knowledgeable, helpful, answered questions politely. When he understood what we wanted and did not want he was able to steer us to models that fit our needs. There was no pressure. We went home and researched the models on the internet for reliability and customer reviews. We returned the same day and purchased the appliances. One was in stock and the other needed to be ordered. All went according to the schedule that Dick gave us. We contacted the independent contractor that Dick suggested to install the appliances. Matt, the installer, arrived as scheduled. He went above and beyond during the install process. He installed both appliances while answering our questions and offering helpful information beyond our questions. He allowed me time to clean where the prior dishwasher was installed before installing the new one. He was every efficient and did not waste time. At the same time, he made sure we were satisfied with the install and knew what we needed to know. We are happy with McKinney's in Lacey, Dick Johns and Matt the installer. We would choose them again for future appliance purchases.

I called the phone number for appliance repair five or six times.  I waited on hold for long periods of time.  I also tried leaving a message for someone to call me twice.  I never did get to speak to an actual person.

Jeff Antich has always been extremely helpful, never pushy and always willing to help me find the best value in the applicances I have purchased. That is why we keep coming back to McKinney's on the Westside

They are locally owned and offer full service sales and repair for appliances. When they came out they needed to order a part for the refrigerator. The refrigerator has been working smoothly since they installed the new part. There was water that ran under the refrigerator and had I not noticed, this could have damaged my Pergo floor. I did make them aware of this and did not appreciate them for blaming me for not knowing about the valve turn off location and felt this was something they could have figured out.

After delivering defective washer they elected to pick it up and refund our money instead of replacing it. Most bizarre customer service decision I have ever witnessed. Will never set foot in their store again.

They're wonderful. They just made everything very easy. They're a small locally owned store and they've been in business for a very long time and they have a good reputation. It's one of those companies that you wouldn't mind going back to if something was a mess.

I went to their store and told them about my refrigerator issues and he told me that their serviceman isn't available that day but he will be there tomorrow so I just went ahead with that. So he came in and he's a very nice man to start with. He just got right to work and fixed it and told us and showed us exactly what was wrong with it. It was wonderful.

Excellently, he listened to our needs and explained the different features and benefits of those machines that we should consider. He then arranged same day delivery. We were very happy with the 18 years of experience of the sales person Dick Johns and the selection and inventory of the store.

I went to the store in west Olympia and found a model that was recommended by Consumer Reports. The price was the same as reported in the national magazine. The store arranged and coordinated delivery and installation even though my home is about 20 miles from the store. The old machine was removed and hauled away and the new one installed immediately without any problems. Two years ago I bought a washing machine from them with the same efficient results.

Everyone at McKinney's went out of their way to be of service. Everyone we dealt with patiently explained the features of each appliance we were considering. We found that the prices we paid were comparable to the box stores and that the McKinney staff was much more knowledgeable. We very much appreciated that they were able to deliver our appliances the Saturday before Christmas and that the delivery crew that brought our new appliances and took our old ones was equally as professional. We also appreciated that McKinney's was able to recommend an installer who also went out of his way to expedite the installation of our appliances.

Although GE Service made a wrong diagnosis of the problem, McKinney was a great help in getting us through the repair without too much trouble.

When my mother's refrigerator died, I went shopping for one like her old one -- with a bottom freezer and full-width, right-hand doors. I discovered the niche in her kitchen was not deep enough for most modern refrigerators of that type. They extended too far into the room and kept a bank of drawers in the adjacent counter from opening, It looked like I was going to have to purchase a counter-deep appliance at almost twice the cost of a standard one. The salesman at McKinney's came to the rescue. He measured every refrigerator in the store within my price range and style preferences. He even moved likely ones to a wall outlet and plugged them in so we could measure how much the plug added to the depth. We finally found one one that would fit. I ordered it, and it was delivered, pre-chilled, that afternoon.

We worked with Brian in the Lacey store, he answered all our questions and followed up several days later because we wanted to think about our options for a while but he was not high pressure, just moving things along. We decided to go with the more basic and less expensive options. The prices were competitive with big box stores.

I would not necessarily buy all my appliances from Mckinney's but they are locally owned and I try to shop as local as I can. They were willing to cut the price in order for me to buy the microwave. Their prices are also competitive. I think they take better care of their customers than other competitors.

THEY WERE KNOWLEDGEABLE, WE'VE BOUGHT APPLIANCES FROM THEM IN THE PAST. WELL, AS I SAID, THEY HAVE A BROAD SELECTION OF PRODUCTS. THEY SEEM TO KNOW THEIR PRODUCTS WELL AND THEY'RE RELIABLE.
