Another contractor was originally going to build the deck but couldn't get to it in our time frame so he referred us to Jesse. Jesse came over looked at what we were asking for and said he'd do the job based on the previously quoted price which included labor and materials in quote. When it came time to pick up theTrek decking from the store there was a discrepancy in price from the color we originally picked out. If we had chosen to go with one color Jesse would pretty much been out of his commission. He said it was our decision and he'd stand by the quote even though he'd lose profit. We decided to go with a different color for the deck. It turned out to be the perfect match to our house after all and it worked out best for everyone. Upon building the deck he would communicate how things were going and made sure we were happy with progress. He was punctual and completed the deck on time. Before the deck we previously had a aggregate patio 8x8' off our back door that had a 6" step down. Now we have a level deck to walk out onto. Since the deck is so long there needed to be a lot of reinforcements in order to prevent bowing and maintain deck stability. Also due to our septic system and drain field being in the way, off on the far side, he was able to nicely tapper that end of the deck in a way that looked natural and maintained the length we wanted. Now we are enjoying the deck on a near daily basis. We have had the deck now for over two years and love having it, it looks great he did an outstanding job. We were so impressed with his work we are planning on having him do our kitchen and multiple bathroom remodel as well!
