It took roughly a week and a 1/2 for Gary to do the work. He did the framing, sheetrock, mudding/texturing, baseboard trim, installed the door, moved electrical outlets and installed a ceiling light. We did the painting afterwards to save money. We were very pleased with the result. Gary's work is high quality and professional. He also provided some excellent suggestions for other ways to improve our house. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.

Didn't allow adequate space to service our air conditioning unit. Had to have him come back and fix the mistake.

We wanted to replace an aging deck but had little idea what we wanted.  Gary provided an excellent suggestion that we accepted. The deck was finished quickly and professionally and exceeded our expectations.  We have used Gary on several occasions and have always been impressed with the outcome.  We intend to continue to use his services as projects arise and we give him the highest recommendation.

Gary was good to work with, responsive, easy to work with, honest and direct on what he would / could do and what he could not.  His bid and final costs matched well and he was very good at letting me know about potential costs ahead of time.  He started and ended on time and quickly.  I would be happy to do business with him again.

Went really well. I wish I would have remembered to take "before" pictures! Gary is as friendly as he is professional, and at no time were we uncomfortable with his presence, professionalism, craftsmanship, and expertise. I hope to bring him back soon for more finishing work.

Tear-out of an existing short-wall and a floor-to-ceiling wall that wrapped around our wood-stove went smoothly. In the attached photo you can see the footprint of the wall and how good of a job he did repairing, muddling, and re-texturing the ceiling afterward. He also moved the (super-heavy) wood-stove out to the garage, removing the stovepipe and repairing that hole in the ceiling, too.

Replacement of all the doors (3 rooms; 2 bathrooms; 3 closets; and 1 garage-to-kitchen door) went very smoothly, and as you can see in the photographs, look great. (In hindsight we would have had them painted prior to installation.)
Our old master bedroom closet was a BEAR to get into, so we had Gary widen it considerably from a 2-door system to a 3-door system. (Again, in hindsight, we would've also gone with a 3-track system instead of a 2-track system. Although Gary's work was meticulous and detailed, we hate the fact that we always have 2-doors bumping into each other now, and sadly, are looking for a replacement set of doors and rails. Money down the drain. But again, Gary's work was really nice. Loved how he wood-wrapped the entire opening of the door.)
The bathroom pocket door is a HUGE stress saver. Having it installed opened up our bedroom a little bit while also dampening the bathroom noise from those who might still be sleeping. And again, the wood-wrapping looks great.
All tear-out; clean-up; trim replacement; etc. went really well . . .

Workmanship was top notch, Gary is a real pro.  He was prompt and got the job done sooner than the agreed upon date.   I rated two areas a "B":
           1)  Correspondence was via cell phone and the quote came via US Post.  I would have like to seen the quote sooner via email.
           2) Price was fair, I had a lower quote but Gary promised he could get it finished by the time I needed... and he delivered.

I will be contracting Gary and his crew for more work.

The price was very reasonable.  My experience was pleasant.  It was really nice.  What I really appreciated was that the job was completed in a speedy fashion and it was done to my satisfaction and standards.  I had no problems with the work.  I was very happy with it.

Gary framed the closet and installed drywall inside the closet and outside where needed.  He was very diligent in ensuring the walls were smooth and textured appropriately to match the existing wall.  He installed a closet light, light switch, door and door hardware that matched other interior doors, and laid carpet.  He kept his work area clean and provided us regular updates on his progress.  He was responsive, dependable, and courteous.  Gary has great attention to detail.  He noted some exterior problems with our home and brought these to our attention, for which we are grateful.
Gary performed all the carpentry and electrical work, but we did the painting, as we agreed upon at the outset of the project.  This worked fine for us.  We will definitely call on Gary again for handyman work.

I am naive.  I got a few internet estimates from a few  other people; gary is the only one to come out to check and bid.  It was not high, not low but he had a good rating and was the only one to come out for a personal visit.  I forgot to take into account that his bid was the same as everyone else's BUT did not include painting (so therefore was expensive in comparison).  Gary took awhile to return for understandable personal reasons but got here.  Took two people and two days to "complete" but he chose not to replace  the 2-3' of boards he had been asked to replace above the siding nor did he caulk everything he had said he would (both of which he was paid to do and included in his estimate).  I also realized I did not get the discount as advertised.
I had been wondering WHY my cats had been getting out lately - I built them an enclosure in the rear yard.  Just found out how tonight when I found Gary took down the portion attached to the house and didn't notice  the board bolted into the siding was also BURIED 6 inches.  When he bolted it back to the house, he didn't bother to bury it back.  The cats have been getting out under the fence where he left a 4-6" gap against the house.  I am just lucky the cats were not run over but now, $350 worth of paint and a weekend to complete that work and now another day to be spent taking apart the bolting from the side of the house and putting the fencing back the way it was without the gaps he left.  Not pleased; I expected more attention to detail.

Check Angies list for a handy man to help us find a reputable contractor.
We selected Gary without a second bid. Very friendly and seem confident in his work.
Replacing the steps to the porch was done in a day. Ripping our the counter tops in 1.5 hours.

We couldn't be happier with Gary's work.  He came by to give us an estimate, made an appointment, showed up on time, completed the work and offered to be available to help in the future.  He was extremely professional and so was his work!  Highly recommend to others.
