Terrible, slimy thieves. Don't use them, no matter what. They will screw you over how ever they can. Plan on being in court if you use this builder.

DO NOT USE ADAIR! They will suck you in to giving them the "non-refundable" fee, then you will have issues with property closing, and then the prices will go up with each time you are asked to sign something. They will not answer phone calls, you will not get responses to phone calls, emails, etc. You will be rushed out when you stop by the office. They will verbally tell you one thing and then physically do something different, and then come back stating they don't have that in "writing", so you must not be telling the truth. We have lost over $2000 to this company who did nothing for us.

Awful nightmarish experience. Sooooo many details, too many to list but most important before sloppy build: Number of days available to work, not including holidays and weekends, from poured foundation to finish, 113. Actual days worked, usually in flurries of work for half a day or so, 40. A faulty roof that does not shed rainwater from valley into gutter so rainwater pours off the roof. Rude employees. Excuses, excuses, excuses, some used more than once but for entirely different conversations. The worst is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. NONE. NADA. ZIP. When you report a problem to whomever you can find in the corporate office and/or local office you are then summarily ignored. We're still being ignored for roof problem. Moved in early July 2018 it's now late September.

Adair homes mission statement: Giving you a customer experience that is enjoyable and rewarding. Providing you with the greatest value in homebuilding. Working together as a team to ensure quality you can count on. Finding innovative ways to build your vision of home. Doing the right thing — always treating you with honesty, integrity, and respect. My wife and I began our home build with Adair because of this mission statement. Unfortunately they have not been true to their mission, sure we are getting a home that is of the greatest value in home-building; they however have fallen short in providing us a customer experience that is enjoyable and rewarding, as we have had to manage our project manager to try and keep things on time and budget. To us it hasn't felt like we were building as a team; yes we have had to do some of the pre-construction site prep and utilities. It really feels like they are the star athlete and whatever they want to do to pad their own pockets, leaving the rest of the team to fend for themselves. Our biggest contention regarding their mission statement; "Doing the right thing- always treating you with honesty, integrity, and respect." We have not been treated with honesty, integrity, or respect. We were lied to by Kai Howard when he sold us the home. He told us that our house would be done in 4 months after foundation was poured. We were also told that we could change things such as, tile, carpet color, electrical outlet locations with a simple change order and a $500 fee, but this was not the case. Once your plans are final they are final, because you sign a piece of paper that says you understand that there will be no change orders after a certain date. When we just wanted to change the color of our tile 3 days after signing 15 different documents, we were told that we would not be able to because our home order had been ordered and they would not be able to change the tile as it had been paid for. (18 months now since we signed) How about the integrity of one former employee Steve Moores, who was the superintendent for our project who didn't do anything for 5 weeks on our project before he quit and went to another company. We were told that he was waiting for our house to dry out in the middle of a 45 day stretch without any rain and temperatures above 80. Steve assured us that our project was moving forward, and that he was having issues finding sub contractors to do our insulation. The quality of the build has been in question too; a simple oversight of for getting to put the electrical grounding rod into the foundation before it was poured has taken 72 days to be fixed. We have also had multiple errors in the framing that needed to be corrected, as well as error in the fire suppression system. I assumed that Adair hired professionals, but it turns out that they hire lowest bid and try to hold them to high standards. To get the subs to come back to make repairs is like trying to move a mountain, because they have been paid for their work. All in all, we are still under construction with the complete exterior of our house complete, it has taken 7 months to get to this point. We may have a couple of good things to say once it is complete but until then this will be a negative review.

after we left we went to our bank and they told us that Adair is not approved by them as a home builder. I honestly felt a bit like we were baited to come in and then the price was switched. Also I was told that all permits, power, sewer, water, clearing, excavation, clean-up of the work area, hauling of debris, fans for moisture mitigation, caulking, painting inside and out is my responsibility. I cancelled my next appointment and told the salesman that at that cost I can build it myself for a total price of $184000 that would include everything from design to finish as I have personally built four homes myself. To be fair his price started at $127000 and went up to $184000 for just the house construction and nothing else. We are going to use a local builder who comes very well recommended.
