It went well with the work done on the day agreed. The only minor mishap was a broken sprinkler head next to one of the trees, but it's one that is easy to miss and it wasn't the first time it was broken, so I didn't bother telling them about it.

This was an Angie's Big Deal purchase for $99.00. I called Achron and scheduled an appointment for them to come out see the job. They were on time and we agreed on a day for them to come out and clean up the tree. I did have to pay an additional $150.00 to get the tree cut, cleaned out and the stump ground down below grade. All the work was well done and on time. I would use them again and I had planned to do so; but their bids are consistently too high compared to other companies providing the same services. As far as professionalism and reliability,I highly recommend them.

They came by on time. Gave a very detailed description of the cost to remove each tree. Offered to remove stomps for free if given the job. Just waiting to build up cash to pay for the service

I have used Archon services several times (wind sale reduction & tree removal) and have always been pleased with the service. Archon has also recommended no need for service on several occasions. They are an honest company. My only disappointment this time is that they work crew did not have a crane to lower the tree sections to the ground. The tree had to be cut in smaller sections and dropped.

The project went smoothly and efficiently. Some of the trees were easy to pick with their huge crane, but several trees had to be brought down in pieces, due to proximity to my deck and house. All the debris was cleaned up, the trunks bucked neatly into 16" lengths, and the limbs and trunks of the smaller trees chipped and removed. All in all, the removal was excellent, the guys professional and friendly, and my property looks amazing now!

He was very up to date and on time. I was told to ask the power company to come and take the tree down and they did, so I did not use his service.

We were totally satisfied with the service we received from Archon. They responded promptly to our inquiry and came out to give us an estimate. He also gave us a lot of information about the types of insurance and licensing needed for the work we wanted done. We had a tree near our cabin that we were worried might fall and hit it. Steve Cushing, who is a certified arborist, evaluated the tree and told us it was healthy and sturdy and no danger to the cabin. Instead of taking it down, he recommended we eliminate the dead branches and thin it a little. This process was, of course, much less expensive and saved us a lot of money. We also wanted some work done on the large cedar in front of the cabin, especially limbing up to improve our view. Steve suggested we also cull the dead branches to make the tree healthier. Archon’s two workers, Ray and Cameron showed up on time (actually a day before we originally expected them since they were doing work on our neighbor’s property, too.) They were both very friendly and made sure they understood what we wanted done. Ray climbed the tree and began eliminating the low hanging branches. Then he continued up the 100+ foot tree to cut out the dead branches. Cameron began hauling the branches up to our side yard where they were chipped. (We got to keep the chips). They did equally excellent work on the tree behind the house. They cleaned up well, and left the yard looking even better than it did before they arrived.

I e-mailed them with a question about working for me and what they will charge for coming to Olympia. Although I've decided to postpone the work for now, their response to my inquiry was prompt, professional and right on point.

They came at the appointed time to look at the job. Said they would email me an estimate but I never heard back from them.

I contacted Archon to remove a group of trees that were blocking my view. After I called them an arborist showed up the next day, explained the process, and submitted a bid. (Got a nice Angies List discount) He was knowledgeable and spent a lot of time answering my questions. This impressed me because it's really a pretty small job. The reason I gave a "B" on Punctuality is really a result of miscommunication. But some of that is my fault. When the arborist left I was under the impression that we had agreed to have the work done the following week. I later found out that the work was scheduled for approximately one month later. (Since the job was small, it was a "fill-in" job. The arborist explained that but I apparently didn't quite understand how that worked.) When I talked to Heather at Archon she explained the situation and gave me a solid date for the tree removal. I really like the way Heather kept me up to date on the schedule. When it looked like they might not be able to make it on the scheduled date, Heather called me in the morning with a heads-up. But they got here in the afternoon and did an outstanding job. The guys were friendly, professional, and fast. They left the site clean and tidy. I will use Archon again when I need any kind of tree service.

They were on time, did the work efficiently, took care with surrounding plants, and cleaned up well afterwards. I especially appreciated that the final cuts were flush at ground level, so there were no stumps left to trip over.

I EXTREMELY pleased with the work performed by Archon Tree Service. The entire crew, including Brian Allen (owner), Joe (lead), and all the other workers were extremely courteous and professional. All are very hard workers striving to do the best possible job. The Tree removal was on the property boundary, and the situation was tense. Brain and crew handled the situation to perfection. We had read pervious testimonials, that stated you could not even tell a tree had been there when they were done. Well, it's absolutely True! The crew removed several plants next to the trunk to prevent damage, set them aside and watered the root balls while the plants were out of the ground. The large fir was lifted out in three sections and was de-limbed/chipped in the cul-de-sac. No debris reached the neighbor's property. Large barriers were installed to contain chips during the stump grinding, and all chips were hauled away. Restoration of the area was fantastic!!. Ray, part of the crew and an experienced landscaper, expertly reinstalled the removed plants, and the area looked better than when the tree was there. [ Note: I supplied new top soil, beauty bark and sod for their use]. Clean-up was equally impressive. There was simply no evidence that a tree had been removed. Brian even approached the neighbors when the job was complete to confirm the work and area were satisfactory. Remember, price is only one aspect of a job. The quality of the job, and professional nature with which the work is performed has a much longer impact. I must say that even the office personnel were a pleasure to work with. Heather, the office manager, went to extreme efforts and rearranged their work schedule extensively to support this work being accomplished on a specific date. I know she was on the phone for hours with other clients adjusting the schedule. I do not think any other company would have exerted this much effort to help us out to get this tree removed. Start to Finish, all aspects, all personnel..... Fantastic.

They did a great job, they are dependable and an on time. They also had all of their insurance certification and licenses online so I was able to check them out prior to hiring them which gave me peace of mind.

I called Archon after getting a quote from a competitor for $695 and that was without cleanup. Heather was very profesional and went a step further when I had a sudden death in the family and called to reschedule. My appointment was for Monday and I called Saturday thinking I would not get an answer. To my surprise she answered and assured me they can still do the job on Monday and I was able to pay when I got back in town the following Friday. They did a great job no complaints from the neighbors and I will definitely use them again. They sent me a thank you letter with a $20 off next service coupon. FYI my final price listed above was with a 10% discount for being an Angies List member.

They arrived early the day after we authorized their bid the day before & removed the trees along with clearing shrubbery from the driveway sightline. They were done & gone when we arrived at 1100. They removed all the debris. This was our third experience with them & we've been very pleased each time. We would use them again.

I have use Archon before and was pleased so I called them back for this job. I had no problem contacting them and getting a quote. Brian and Steve both came out and were very helpful in deciding what trees needed to be taken out/pruned. I am thrilled with the work they did. They arrived promptly and when they left had cleaned up all the debris. I had a big Cedar tree growing too close to my house and they came and pruned the side of the tree. It opened up the whole area and the big branches aren't up against the side of my house and I got to keep the tree. They also managed not to damage my shade garden directly underneath it. The Hemlocks in the front were dying and they carefully took those down. Again they didn't damage my plants in the area and it looks great. I had requested that they leave the wood chips so I could spread them in my backyard but they didn't have enough to do that. Brian called me to make sure I was happy with the work and I told him about the chips. The next day I had a huge load of chips delivered to my driveway. Very nice. They did a great job and they want you to be satisfied with their work.

We had contacted the company in summer after purchasing the deal. At first we had difficulty getting in touch and I think they were extremely busy and had conflicts getting to us. We were flexible. Then we scheduled but they did not show: and WE had to call them to reschedule. However, once we finally connected, the work was all completed and we didn't have to pay any further out-of-pocket costs. I feel the service provided was well worth the cost (and had assumed that we might even need to pay additional for the ful work load they had done, thought they might have given an estimate before starting work). So in the end we were happy and would still recommend them.

My wife had been fretting over these trees coming down forever, every time the wind blew and it was time to bring them down... Archon folks were more than professional in there upfront cost estimating and extremely professionaly with the work there crew performed... Cleanup was excellent and we will most certainly have these folks back for any other tree work we need... We had contracted with Archon several years prior for other like work and where pleased with their sevrice back than, so we had a high level of confidence of having it repeated and it has paid off... Steve came out to give estimate. He went around my entire yard and decided which trees to fell and which trees to "limb up". I wanted more sun as my yard was beginning to have more lovely moss than other plants. Steve stapled each tree with color coded tags and made sure I was satisfied and got everything I wanted. The 3-man crew of Joe, Ryan, Ray came on the agreed day and while it was a noisy day with their "chopper" they got everything done as promised, and cleaned up everything to a fare thee well. They also accomodated my dogs who become aggressive with loud noises, so they took breaks with the chainsaws and the chopper so I could let my dogs out to romp and do their business. Then I put the dogs back inside and they started with their gear. Worked very well and even the dogs were happy.

We have been wanting to have a large Mimosa tree removed from the front of our property. We have had 2 other estimates done recently and we were comfortable with the costs, but we saw the Angie's List Big Deal running through 2/14/13 from Archon Tree Services Inc. and thought it worth getting their estimate before making a decision on who to go with. The Big Deal is for $500 worth of service for $250. Sounded great! We sent an email request for an estimate on Saturday, received a scheduling call on Monday, and agreed on noon today, 2/12/13. Steve called my husband this morning just before 10:00 to ask if he could come by "in about 30 minutes". Thankfully my husband is home from work today to care for me (as I had surgery yesterday and must stay in bed) and to take care of our toddler, or the sudden early arrival time would not have worked. None of this was a big deal and Steve was polite and considerate about the time change. the estimate took 3-5 minutes and Steve was gone by 10:30. It was for $800. Steve explained the "difficult" circumstances in the location, neighbor's house, our garage, the hedge, etc. He explained that they are "fully licensed, bonded, and insured" and they don't use any under-the-table workers. This is all fine and much appreciated, but the estimate was TWICE both previous estimates we received from equally qualified tree services using the exact same methods described by Steve. Needless to say we will NOT be using Archon. I'm sure they do quality work, but they are, in my opinion, very overpriced. Both of the other services we contacted regarding this job were done so after seeing numerous jobs they had done in our neighborhood and for family. I guarantee they are equally as skilled and qualified and both promise the same zero-impact to the surroundings. If we were to use Archon we would be paying significantly more WITH THE COUPON than either of the other services with no coupon. Too bad. Again, I am sure, based on other reviews, Archon does quality work. My issue was only the cost.

They did a good job! We would use them again.

It was all presentenced to me in a very professional manner. I only went with another company only because their bid was less in cost.
