My septic alarm sounded. Called two other services but they were not willing to come out and check it out. Contacted Metcalfe and got a call-back that evening (Monday). Suzette came out, did some digging and troubleshooting and took pictures of my pump which she suspected was the problem. This was the Wed before Thanksgiving, so she did not return until the following Monday with the correct replacement pump. She installed it and everything works fine. I must comment on Suzette's customer service skills (other than the fact she fixed the problem). She answered all of my questions patiently and cheerfully and gave me so much practical info on how septics work and what I could do to keep my system healthy. Great extra customer service! I graded "C" in responsiveness because I called on Monday morning and no one could come until Wed afternoon. I was ok with Suzette taking Thanksgiving break because she reassured me if I was careful with my water use, the tank would be ok until she could get back. Worked out fine.

Everything went smoothly. Steve had originally gave a work time estimation of a week and he finished in three days. He also stated that some of the landscape was probably going to be damaged or destroyed due to the location of the septic tank. Luckily only one small shrub was lost. Would recommend!

In the state of Washington, you need to get your septic system inspected and pumped if you need to get it pumped every two years. So, it was time for us this year to do it. I have always used Metcalfe Septic Services. They are very nice people, very laid back, very accommodating, hardworking, prompt and professional. They educate the customers. They just don't do the job and leave. They are patient when you ask them questions. When it comes to the septic system, I want to make sure it's working right. They are very good and responsive. The price for their service was $600 with the pump. It's like $200 for the inspection and then pumping is like $400 with tax and everything. It also includes all the fees that they have to pay to the state. They have to file a report with the county and there is like a filing fee. When they inspected our septic, they said it's full of baby wipes. They last visited us in 2009. They are very pleasant, timely and do a good follow through. They once couldn't come out since they had an emergency. So, they called and told us that they would be 10 minutes late. That was like really good. They are conscientious of the customer. Their price is very competitive and very reasonable. Some places charge a lot more. I would use their services in the future too. I use them anytime I need them. They said that the system is working really good for an old system.
